4: The Breakdowns And Ice Cream

Tzuyu

It will be eleven o'clock in a few minutes but I am still staring at the blank wall of my room. I don't want to sleep, I'm afraid to sleep because when I wake up, everything will be different again.

"Tzuyu if you don't want to sleep, let others go sleep. Turn down your music volume, I can't sleep." I was startled when Jungkook's head suddenly appeared on the slightly open door.

"Jungkook everyone knows how to knock!" I smiled sarcastically at him.

"Really? That's not a trend for me." He insisted and also smiled sarcastically. I don't know but I can't help laughing because of his face, maybe because he looked like a stray dog.

"Wait why are you laughing at me ?!" He entered my room while his raising his one eyebrow, its obvious on his face that he was disgusted. As before, he himself turned my iPod off.

I just sighed, "Nothing. I thought something really funny the moment I saw your face."

He frowned and immediately pointed to his face, "What's so funny about this? You mean you're in love with this!" He said so I laughed even harder.

I laughed so hard then I realized that tears were dripping from my eyes. I stopped laughing and sighed.

I was covered my mouth, I could not stop myself from crying. I feel so blue, I feel like my heart will explode with sadness if I don't cry now.

"Wait what's happening to you ?! Are you really going crazy ?!" Jungkook's eyes widened as he shouted.

Even though my tears continued to flow, I still forced myself to smile. I shook my head, "I'm sorry, go back to your room." I said for him to leave and he immediately left.

When I was alone in my room again, I started to cry. My lips and hands were shaking but I didn't care, maybe I would just be relieved if I let myself cry now.

Tired of smiling at everyone. I smile every day even though my heart is slowly dying. I'm so tired of feeling this.

Everyone thought I was okay, they all thought I was strong, they didn't know that I was in pain every day.

"Mint chocolate-flavored ice cream always makes me feel better. Try it." I was surprised when Jungkook stood by my side. He was holding a large bowl full of ice cream and two spoons.

I just wiped the tears from my eyes and immediately took the spoon he handed me. I love ice creams, I will never deny it.

I was about to get into the bowl when Cooper suddenly blocked my spoon with his spoon - What this? Fencing with a spoon ?!

"Let's go to the rooftop." He said and suddenly walked away.

"Wait, I'm not allowed to leave my room!" I said.

"Me too but Old Being is not here right?" He said.

The cold wind greeted me. It is late at night and there are many stars in the sky. I was tired of climbing but it's so worth it because of the nice view here.

Jungkook removed the jacket that was tied around his waist and laid it on the floor for us to sit on.

"It's nice here." I sat next to him and I can finally eat the ice cream.

I don't know why a lot of people really hate to eat mint chocolate-flavored ice cream.

"The whole hospital sucks. This is the only beautiful place here." Jungkook said and swallowed the ice cream, he ate it like there is no tomorrow. Doesn't his tooth hurt from the extreme cold? He was really weird.

"I'm sorry you had to see my breakdown." I just smiled, actually I am also ashamed of my behavior I mean Jungkook and I are still practically strangers to each other then I even had drama in front of him.

"I've been living here since I was a child, I'm used to seeing things. Welcome to hell Tzuyu." Jungkook said so I was suddenly terrified. This guy will scare me even more.

I suddenly yawned. I'm starting to feel sleepy - something I feared every day.

"Are you sleepy?" Jungkook asked as he looked up at the sky.

"Unfortunately." I just sighed and leaned my chin on my knee.

"You don't want to sleep?" He asked again.

"Yes. I'm scared of what will happen after I wake up." I just smiled. Like him, I also looked up, the sky was really beautiful tonight.

"Oh! here." I was surprised when Jungkook handed me a tweezer.

"What am I supposed to do with it?" I stared at the tweezer I was holding.

"It's simple, use that to pull the hair out of your nose. Trust me, you will lose sleep due to the pain." He smiled proudly. Considering this is the first time he smiled at me, but I couldn't help but frown. He's really weird.

"By the way, boil it first before using it. Old Geun uses it to pull the hair out of his smelly armpits." He added so I quickly threw the tweezer away.

"Yuck! You're a pig!" I shouted at him as I rubbed my hand on the pajamas I was wearing.

"I'm a bunny not a pig. A really handsome bunny." He said full confidence while smirking. He looks so cool.

I thought he was rude, but he wasn't. No wonder Jeongin said that earlier.

"Don't stare at me too much you might fall in love." He added.

Damn it, I didn't notice that I was staring at his ugly face.

"I just remembered something on your face .... You look like a dog." I teased him, he almost throw up but continue to eat ice cream again.

"How did you survive in this place?" I change the conversation while eating.

"I don't know. Maybe because I forced myself to be strong. And Old Geun is here so I never felt alone. You are lucky because you were assigned to Zero Ward, because in this ward we treat each other as our own family-- ".

I know Jungkook says a lot more but my vision and hearing are slowly fading. My eyes are slowly getting heavier. Shit I don't want to sleep ---.

"So I will tell Jeongyeon that EXO is ugly."

I could hear a voice so I slowly opened my eyes. I quickly sat down even though I was still yawning.

"You guys are so noisy!" I don't know who they are because I still can't see them properly.

"Jungkook I don't want to it anymore! I quit!" Based on what I heard, I'm sure Jeongin and Jungkook are in my room now. So annoying! Why is it forbidden to lock the door anyway, anyone can just enter here without my permission?.

I just rolled my eyes and yawned again, "What? How many days did I sleep?" I asked them. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw Jeongin's face turn pale, he was probably the one I heard lose the bet.

"You only sleep for a while." I couldn't help but smile because of what Jungkook said.

But wait, why am I here in my room? I think I was on the rooftop when I fell asleep last night.
