28: Being With You

Tzuyu POV

Old Geun came into my room to deliver my medicines. It's early in the morning but I have to take 4 medicines.

"Old Geun, why didn't you remarried?" I couldn't help but ask. I found out from Jungkook that Old Geun had a wife back then. But even before they had children, she passed away.

"Because I can't love another woman like her." I couldn't see pain in his eyes, instead, I could see happiness..

"You really love her, huh?" I smiled.

"You have no idea." He said so I smiled. "And you have no idea how much Jungkook loves you." Old Geun laughed that made me frowned.

"Are you hiding something?"

"When Jungkook left the hospital, even though he was already fine, he would call me almost every day just to ask if you were awake."

When Old Geun said that, my heart started to hurt. I thought he really lost interest and didn't care about me as everyone said.

"Do you still remember when you first met?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, he went inside my room and scared me, so I chased him with a---"

"That's not the first time you met." Old Geun chuckled, making me more curious.

"But how?"

"You were just kids when you first met. Jungkook went inside your room while you were asleep and drew on your face. You woke up that day after long hours of sleep. And I believe, it's because of Jungkook. Maybe, you didn't remember but he still remembers. He's been curious about you growing up and I noticed his interest in you when you joined the program. I didn't think he'd end up falling madly in love with you. " He smiled.

Oh my heart fluttered.

Old Geun just left when Jungkook arrived. His mommy called so he went out to answer it.

"What's up with the smile?" He asked as he sat beside me.

"Nothing." I smiled as I kissed him on the cheek. It's for what I found out from Old Geun.

Jungkook smiled and kissed me on the lips. It was a deep kiss but he's still gentle.

"What was that for?" I asked as our lips parted.

"Nothing." He mimicked my answer earlier. "Yeah by the way, let's have breakfast outside."

I can't move in my seat. I thought Jungkook would take me to a restaurant, but instead, we went to their house. This isn't the first time I've been here. He took me here when I lost consciousness. But this is the first time that I'm going to meet his parents.

"I'm so happy that I finally got the chance to meet you!" Jungkook's mom hugged me tightly. She was really nice and friendly so I immediately lost my nervousness.

"We've heard so much about you, Tzuyu. How did you stay that long with my son?"Jungkook's daddy joked.

"Mom, Dad, you're embarrassing me." Jungkook said, the reason why his parents laughed.

"Is there any food yet?" Jungkook just asked while holding his stomach.

"Still cooking." His mom answered.

"We're going upstairs then." He led me up the stairs.

"Leave the door open!" His Dad reminded us so we laughed.

As we walked towards his bedroom, I saw picture frames on the wall. Most of the photos were taken at the hospital. Even their family picture, Jungkook has an IV and it looks like it was also taken at the hospital.

"My Dad's a principal in Seoul High while my Mom's a music teacher." Jungkook sounded so proud of his parents. "My mom almost got disowned for not following the medical path, because her parents are both doctors." He continued.

"No photos with your friends?"

"You guys are my only friends, and our photos are in the hospital."

I don't know what to feel. But I still smiled because even though we were his only friends, I knew we were deserving.

"I'm contented with you." He said suddenly and then kissed my cheek.
