10: Stimulants

Tzuyu

"Are you ready son?" The Doctor asked while holding a syringe, the reason why Jungkook looked at me. Even if he didn't say it, I knew he was scared and nervous.

"Tzuyu ..." Jungkook said softly while lying on his bed.

He stared at me so I nodded and smiled at him, kind of saying 'everything will be okay' and at the same time I held his hand tightly.

I could hear Jungkook's every growl and moan as he was being shot in his bone marrow. No matter what he do to stop himself, he still can't hide the fact that he was in so much pain. I just closed my eyes and held his other hand to comfort him.

I promised him I would stay by his side and I would never break it. No matter what happens, we will leave nothing, that is our promise to each other.

Whenever he gets a shot for blood tests, bone marrow or even chemo or check-up, I am always in his side to support him and let him know that he is never alone.

A few months passed and we were always together. We became so close to each other that we almost didn't want to be apart anymore. We became best friends. And during those few months I did everything I could to stay awake for him ... Sometimes I can't help but let him down. I can't stop myself from sleeping.

"Guys let's play hide and seek!" Jeongin is already pushing his wheelchair forward.

"Stop moving around! You'll run over my foot!" Jeongyeon scolded Jeongin while hugging her knees. Since we were all just sitting on the floor and Jeongin can run over us if he keeps on moving around.

"How about tag? Let's run using our own feet!" Jungkook sarcastically said while smiling. Jeongin immediately raised his middle finger at him.

"But seriously guys, I'm bored to death. Why are we not allowed to go out?" I said and just leaned on Jeongin's closet.

"Have you forgotten? This is the day of the month they disinfect the rooms" Jeongyeon said while frowning so I just scratched my head and smiled. Oh I forgot...

"Because you're always asleep." Jungkook said and suddenly leaned his head on my shoulder. So annoying! He's head is so heavy!

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Jeongyeon, who was closest to the door, opened it immediately. It was just Old Geun. As usual he smiled foolishly when he saw Jungkook and I sitting side by side so I quickly kicked the idiot to get away from me. Jungkook is my bestfriend but they always put malice on it.

"I won't really be surprised if you two stay together." And Jeongin started to tease us again so I immediately glared at him.

"Me with this woman?" Jungkook said sarcastically while smiling foolishly, "maybe." He added so I just frowned in annoyance.

He knows I get annoyed every time we are shipped by everyone and being the jerky idiot that he is, sometimes he also participates in teasing, he is crazy, I can really beat him right now even if he is sick.

"Stop teasing her, Tzuyu your doctor is calling you." Old Geun said so I just stood up and wipe the dust off my pajama. Wait.... another check-up? I thought my check-up was only once a month? I just had my checked up last week.

"Jungkook where are you going?" Old Geun asked crookedly when he saw Jungkook also stand up as if he wants to come with me as we used to do.
