Soon enough, all 35 guys were in one giant waiting room. We were all quietly talking. I had meet Quentin, the only other five. He seemed nice enough. I still hung around Mitch though, because he was a really good friend to me. After what seems like years, Victoria walks in. Her heels were like a foot off the floor! Who wears stuff like that? "I'm Victoria!" She announces when she enters the room. Yeah, like we don't already know that. "I'm going to lead you to the dinning room, then we will get on with the tour, alright?" Everything she did just seemed to be super perky. "Who put redbull in her coffee?" I muttered to Mitch. Mitch snickered, grabbing the attention of the two guys in front of us. They looked at us for a second, rolled their eyes, and looked forward again. I didn't say anything else, but I could tell Mitch and I were thinking the same thing. Why were they being so cold? We were lead by Victoria to the dinning room. Before we entered, she turned to us. "The royal family isn't in here tonight, but for future references, I would like you all to bow when a member of the royal family enters the room, or you enter a room they are already present in. Do you understand?" We all nodded our heads. We didn't have to get down on our knees or anything, we just had to do a small bow. Nothing too much I guess. We entered the dinning room, where food was already waiting for us. I could smell it. It was steak! I haven't had steak since I was 10! My mother had made some steak for Christmas, but I bet it can't be as good as this steak. As I sat down with Mitch and Kyle, my only two friends at the moment, I wondered where the royal family was. Probably enjoying their last meal as a family together. As I sat down to eat, I realized how heavenly this food was. The steak was so tender and juicy, and the potatoes. They were so fluffy like a cloud! Even the water tasted good, which was funny because water is supposed to be tasteless. I heard sighs of content, I assumed everyone was enjoying this meal as much as I was. After we finished, Victoria brought us on some "grand tour" type thing. She started off by bringing us by a large room, with tables in chairs. "This is The Great Room." Victoria explained. "Usually parties and banquets are held in here, and other special events." I looked in. It was enormous! You could fit like two of my house in there. Then, Victoria walked by a large room with couches, and TV's. "This is the Men's room!" She announced. "You will spend most of your time on weekends staying here, unless told otherwise!" So it was sort of like a lounge thing. Sweet. "You will also have lessons during the weekdays. Just because you are a member of The Selection, does not mean you need to fall behind on your education! Once you are a member of The Elite, you will have lessons on how to govern and rule." The Elite members are basically the final 10, and they are narrowed down from there. She led us to a room next to the Men's Room. "This is the palace library. There are plenty of books for you to choose from, for all your reading needs!" A small guy, who I recognized to be Seto, a three peeked in the room interestedly. I didn't think I would have any use for the library, but hey, you never know. Victoria led us to a back entrance. "Out here is the palace garden. Quite nice to walk through, if I do say so myself." At least she was calling it the "palace garden" instead of the "royal garden". I'd lose it if she called everything the "royal" thing. I glanced out there. It actually looked very nice out there. Victoria led us past some workers quarters, and up a set of marble stairs. "This actually concludes our tour, but here are your rooms. Your name will be on your room door. You will each have three maids, who will help you get ready for the day. Do not go to the third story, that's where the royal family is. You are not allowed up there without invitation, do I make myself clear?" Vitoria asked, looked at all of us. "Yes." We all chorused back. "Very well, good night everyone, you will be meeting the princess tomorrow, so get plenty of rest!" Victoria dismissed us, and walked back downstairs. All of us glanced around at each other, not sure what to make of this situation. Then we all just kind of shrugged, and headed to our rooms.
