Tonight was the night of The Report. We didn't have anything to do this week during it, but we were still required to sit quietly in some risers and watch. My maids had gotten me a white suit, which I had requested, with a black flower pinned on one of my pockets. I instructed them not to make it too fancy, because I still wasn't used to this whole "royalty" thing. My maids made my hair looked nice, and shaved my already hairless face to perfection. I looked ready to be presented. It sucked that we had to wait until after The Report to eat, because I was starving! I wonder what Princess Alesa was wearing tonight. Probably something red. Anyway, we all met in the set where they filmed The Report, and we all choose seats. I chose a seat near the top, and so did Mitch. We sat near Seto, a guy named Bashur, someone named Tyson, and Okward. We all chatted silently, waiting for The Report to air live. Okward turned back to me. "Hey Adam, do you think I'd look better with or without glasses?" "No offense Okward, but you'd look like a nerd." Tyson said bluntly. Okward glared at him and rolled his eye. "It depends, do you like the feeling of glasses?" "Not really." Okward admitted. "I was just told that I needed glasses because my vision's horrible." "Try contacts." Mitch suggested. "You'd look more like you." Okward nodded. "Thanks for the advice, white boys." He turned away with a snicker. We broke into laughter. Not a day went by without Okward making some joke about his race or ours. While we wear laughing, Alesa came in. There was silence immediately. She looked... Stunning! She was wearing a red dress, to match her hair. Her dress had a light red velvet belt below her chest. To top it off, she had a light blue flower in her hair, with a blue pearl necklace. She looked magnificent! She caught my eye, then brushed her hair inconspicuously. I returned the action, and she gave me a wink, as she went to sit down with her family. I was excited. After dinner, Alesa would come talk to me about something. I didn't care what it was, I was excited to see her. "One minute until show time!" A random official yelled. "Places everyone!" One minute until my family saw me again. I'll say though, I looked different than I looked when I last saw them. About a minute later, I heard our national anthem playing. My heart thumped excitedly in my chest. I didn't realize how nervous I was. I wasn't even doing anything except sitting there like an idiot. After the nation anthem ended, Sarai started The Report with her usual introduction. "Goooooooood evening Minecraftia!" That introduction has been mocked plenty of times with the selected members. I didn't really pay attention to anything else being said. There were reports on the ongoing war, news about the upcoming draft for soldiers, and stuff like that. "Now, for the last thing of the night, let's interview the wonderful Princess Alesa!" Alesa was obviously unaware she was supposed to be doing this tonight. She nervously stepped up to go join Sarai. I gave her a smile as she went up, and she seemed to relax immediately. "Good evening princess, how are you this fine evening?" Sarai asked smoothly. "Er, I'm doing great. Thanks." Alesa replied uneasily. "How are the lovely men doing over there in the risers?" Sarai asked beckoning over to us. "Have they been good and well-behaved?" "Aha, well sort of." Alesa gave a mischievous smile. "Oh my! Are some of them acting up? Oh do tell!" Sarai asked eagerly. All the guys were looking around and laughing, trying to figure out what she was talking about. I blended in. That dirty little traitor! "Well," Alesa said, catching my eye. "One happened to call me shallow and told me off for calling him "my dear"." Everyone in the room was laughing now, and I was trying hard not to look suspicious. King Luke and Queen Ashleigh had obviously not heard this story yet. King Luke was smiling in amusement, and Queen Ashleigh was beside herself with laughter. "Well then, who is this guy, and is he still here?" My heart stopped. Crap, if she says something I'm doomed. "Oh, I'll not reveal him because I'm sure it was just a bout of homesickness. And yes, he is still with us, and I don't plan on kicking him out for a while."
