I walked over to where Princess Alesa was at. She gave me a huge grin. "Your name is Adam, right?" She joked. I smiled. "I think you're Princess Alesa, but I'm not too sure." I joked back. I slightly flinched, because I was afraid to start off with a joke, but she seemed to enjoy it. "Sit down." She said to me, motioning to a couch across from her. "Hey, I wanna apologize for last night, before you ask me about anything." I said. Princess Alesa's gaze turned serious, then she looked at me, clearly interested. "I thought it over last night. I'm not the most enthusiastic about this honestly, but I need to be here. I treated you pretty bad last night, and you could've kicked me out." "Ah, but I didn't." Princess Alesa said smiling. "Anyway, I want to apologize for my behavior. You see, I'm not exactly here by choice." "Please, do tell." Princess Alesa said, Adjusting herself in her chair. I sighed. "My family wanted me to sign up for them. Maybe my mom wanted the money, but my dad wanted for me a chance to fall in love. He didn't come out and say that, but that's how my dad thinks. The thing is, I already was in love with someone, but unfortunately, that is over. I would like to offer you something if you'll let me stay." Alesa looked at me seriously. "Adam, you're already staying. You don't need to offer me anything." "Too bad, I am anyway." I shot back. She sighed, and listened to my proposition. "I can tell you do not know very much about guys-" "Bingo." She said, accidentally interrupting me. "Anyway, I would like to help you learn some stuff about guys, and how to be around guys." Princess Alesa blinked gratefully. "Do you mean it, my- Adam." She corrected herself. I grinned. "Of course, friend." I grimaced. Did I literally just call her friend? She smiled. I would very much appreciate that Adam, thank you very much. I just have one question for you." "Go ahead and ask away, your highness." I said, probably showing more manners to her than I had been. "Is there a chance... That you may... Have feelings for me?" She leaned closer. I looked at her, and answered honestly. "I just met you, but let's see what time holds. For now, I would like to grant you one of the closest friends I have, because back where I came from I did not really have friends." "It's a royal privilege to be called your friend Adam." We laughed. "Go ahead and go with the others, Adam. I have a few announcements to make." I got up from the couches, and went to sit with Mitch and Kyle. Kyle looked as pale as a ghost, while Mitch was trying to talk to him. Mitch caught my eye, and just shrugged. Alesa went to the front of The Great Room. "Everyone, it is now time for breakfast. Those of you I asked to stay, please stay." It wasn't obvious who was and wasn't staying behind, until we all got up. I noticed Kyle was one of the ones that stayed behind. Was... That a good thing? I didn't know, but I just followed everyone to The Dinning Room, where breakfast was already waiting for us. It smelled divine, I couldn't wait to dig in. I noticed Alesa was not with us, she must've stayed behind with those who she asked to stay behind. I didn't read too much into it. I began to dig in. Honestly, the best part of that meal was the sausage. It was cooked to perfection. During breakfast, I saw Alesa come in, and I heard a bunch of murmurs. "Oh no." I heard a guy named Ty, who was a three whisper. "They're gone." Oh, so that's why Alesa asked them to stay behind. Mitch and I shared a look of sadness for Kyle. Poor guy, I hope he was taking it well. I sighed, and began to eat some more. I looked around for Quentin, wondering if my fellow five was enjoying the food like I was. I realized Quentin was gone too. I was the only five left. Just like that, the 35 of us was down to 27.
