"Don't worry too much, I've got your back." He whispered in his comforting voice. By now I had calmed down a bit but it still hurt.
"Shut it and just tell me what it is." I asked, still not daring to look down and check.
He pouted at my rude remark but replied anyway,
"It's a thorn." A what? Thorn? Of course out of everything in this goddamn forest it had to be a fucking thorn!"What do I do now?" I asked in dismay.
"I'll remove it of course." He passed me a duh look and leaned in towards my body. He examined the area around my torso with focussed eyes. Why do I feel so hot? Was it because of the fighting and running? Or am I supposed to include Taehyung too?
"I'm taking it out now, okay?" I finally looked down and stared at my white tee and found it's corner soaked in blood. That's when I realized it wasn't an ordinary little thorn. It was pretty big and sharp. I probably got it when I fell down on my front.
"No, wait. Please." I said in a breath, looking away from the blooded spot.
"It's okay, take your time. The people who were chasing us took another way so they won't be able to find us anymore. But I suggest we should take it out and get this done with." He tried convincing me and of course I gave in. He was right after all.Treating something as soon as possible is the best one can do cause it might get worse if you simply let it be a bother and deny the treatment.
I gave him a slight nod, looking at a confused Minjun who was the only distraction I had.
"What happened to Jeon hyung?" He asked in his usual but this time, unhappy sounding voice.
"You see, Jeon hyung is hurt right now. I'll do something about it, okay?" Taehyung replied in a bubbly tone as if I didn't just get pricked by this huge thorn.Minjun nodded and looked at me with a smiling face.
"Don't worry, Jeon hyung! We both will protect you." He said proudly, making me grin. Was I really about to leave this kid behind with a bunch of kidnappers?
This made my heart sink. I couldn't believe myself. What was wrong with me?
I had planned to not care about anyone anymore but why did it hurt? Why was it so hard? Judging from the way most people have treated me till now, it didn't seem too hard.
"Remove it now." I said, diverting my mind. Taehyung gave me a quick nod without having much expression on his face.
"You know what Jungkook? There was once a really sad kid who lived in town. He wanted to be friends with everyone but he was always ignored by people." Taehyung started off with a story.
"Why are you even telling this to me right no- arghh." I groaned in pain and a second later glared at him.
"It's done." He smiled but I disregarded it and smacked his arm. It wasn't hurting anymore though. I looked down and lifted up my shirt a bit to find some blood oozing out of the little cut that was created.
"The cut is not too big, bunny." I turned my gaze to him and quickly pulled my shirt down in embarrassment. Was he really seeing it all this time? Jackass, rich bratty kid, and now a creep is added to the list. Great.
I ignored him and got up. It wasn't hurting anymore and I was back to okay, excluding the bruises I had all over my face and probably body too.
But it wasn't just me. Minjun's wrists looked red because they were tied to thick ropes and Taehyung's clothes were all covered in dirt and he had a little bruise on his forehead. How did this polite guy not get a bone broken or something? Looking at the one bruise he had, he was probably good at physical fights.
