Chapter 9; The Best Ramen

"Oh my god....what do I do with this brat!" His dad sighed from the other side of the phone. He sounded really annoyed. Were we doing the right thing?

I mean, yeah I guess. If I could escape from that place, it couldn't be wrong.

"Really sorry dad. Bye." And he hung up the phone.
He took a deep breath of relief and turned towards me.

"So any other problem now?" I gave him a slight smile and started walking further, leaving his hand.

The warmth left me but I was still satisfied because he didn't waste a second and followed me. And that's when I knew, at least I had him to save me from situations.

We both started walking away from that place.
"So where do you wanna go?"
I stayed quiet as I didn't really know.

I mean, I didn't know everything would happen so fast. I just wanted to stay with someone safe or maybe escape from there, if possible. But I didn't know what I'd do if I got away from there.

He sighed and stop walking. The atmosphere changed a bit and I stopped too. I looked at him with a confused look and found him looking at me with a look that showed no specific emotion.

"Jungkook, I know you don't wanna share things with me...but are you okay? Is everything fine?"
Oh yeah... concern. That emotion.

So he actually cares...Somehow a smile crept onto my face and I didn't want to hide it anymore.
Strange but I wasn't complaining.

"Don't worry Taehyung. I'm fine. I just didn't want to be there because of those many people. Come on now." I tapped on his shoulder and started walking.

"Hey, wait." He said as he walked further, trying to catch up with me.

"Okay then I'll take you somewhere. Follow me." I looked at him and he was already changing his direction as he turned towards the right.

I followed him silently and soon we both were sitting on the grass on the riverbank.
"Are you sure no one's gonna see us here?" I asked, feeling unsure about sitting there as it was a really famous place in the city. Anyone could see us there.

"I don't think so. It's really late right now. Even if someone sees us, they're probably drunk so yeah..." We both chuckled and went back to admiring the beauty of night.

City lights trying to compete with the moon, but they're not the real light and who are we even kidding! Even the moon doesn't have its own light...The buildings towering the trees, as if keeping an eye on everything.

And then there's us, two young guys, who had just ran away from their own wedding party and not caring about anything.

"Hey, you must be hungry." He said turning towards me. He didn't give me any time to respond and stood up from his spot.

"Wait here." And then, he ran away towards the shops.
I sighed and looked back at the river.

I wasn't there where I was supposed to be...but was it bad? No.

Was it unnecessary? Maybe, but who's asking you.

Was this the only option? No, but the best option.

Was I relieved and feeling secure? Hell yes!

I was sitting there waiting for him and I couldn't deny that I was really hungry. It was getting cold and I wanted him to come quick with the food. But I couldn't even order him. I mean, he was the one who took me out of there...

I heard some footsteps behind me and turned around.
And yeah...there he was!
The streetlights making his face glow in the darkness and making him look as pretty as a picture.
