“If you want I could give you a ride back home” Ryan said
“Uh could you make it the skate park?” I glanced at his board, a new one that he hardly used, a Blind deck. I had saved up for it to give to him on his birthday, about 2 months before he turned into a dick.
“What about your board?”
“Don’t need to go get it, the guys went to mine after school and picked it up for me. At least I hope they did since they said they were going to do it”
“Okay” Ryan went over to his desk and picked up his keys, whilst I finished packing up.
“Why do you still have your bass and board in plain sight? I thought you’d have chucked as soon as you could” I turned to face him. I thought that he’d of chucked them out or sold them.
“Mum and wouldn’t let me sell them or anything” He said still concentrating on the road
“Don’t blame them, they were both fucking expensive”
“Yeah and as for them being in plain sight just never could be fucked moving them I guess” Something in his voice told me otherwise.
“Do you still skate or play?”
“Ha. No, why would I? Skating is stupid and bass playing is for fags, any instrument is” again, his voice, I was sure he was lying. But he’s not into that stuff anymore, is he? He stopped not far from the skate park. Getting out I heard the guys call out to me, I turned around and waved then walked over to him. Ryan drove off fast. Once he was out of sight the guys asked me questions about the car, and what it was like to be in it.?
I stopped skating and looked up at the guy in my way. Blake. “Hey Zoë, what’s up?” he said smiling. He was surrounded by his friends that were at the park the first day I saw him Jase, Kayle and Chris.
“Great it’s you.” Just my luck I have to deal with two jerks today. I turned back towards the guys.
“Don’t be like that girl, I know you want me babe”

“Oh yeah, I want you, I need you, you complete my life...”
“I knew it. I’m just irresistible” He smiled putting his arm around me.
“Get your fucking arm off me, ass” David, Elliot and Xavier laughed. Blake just looked pissed. Me and the guys turned around and started to walk off. Wheels were heading my way; I could hear the skateboards wheels turning. Blake! He stopped in front of me and jumped off his board. “I want a rematch” Pft sore loser
“I’m sorry what was that?”
“Rematch, me against you”
“Dude, you lost, do you really want to lose again?” Elliot butted in for me.
“To a girl” Xavier added
“Whos-“ I put my hand over David’s face before he could add more to what the others said.
“Come on Zoë, if you really did win, properly you have nothing to fear, you’ll win again” He smirked knowing I wouldn’t turn it down.
“Or are you to chicken to face me babe?” one of his mates added on.
“Ha, no, I just don’t want to shame him out twice” I said moving so I was in front of his mate, looking directly in his eyes.
“Well accept the rematch to prove it”
“Fine”
“A rematch has been made” fuck him.
“Whatever” Blake and his group looked at each other and smiled “The deal?”
“The deal is, I win you come to my house and if you win, ill stop pissing you off and wont demand a rematch ever. Do we have a deal?” he held out his hand. I turned round to the guys to see what they though, both David and Elliot nodded and Xavier had flown off into lala land, when he snapped out of it he nodded.
“Okay, you have a deal” I reached out and shook his hand and he smiled at me and then his mates who pattered him on the back ‘congratulating’ him. Fuck, what did I get myself into, id just made a deal with the devil. I won the first one by luck, by him falling. There was no way I could him now, he’s never lost, it was just a one off he lost to me. I’d have to go to his after this, I just knew it. I walked off and the guys followed. “Dude don’t worry, you’ll be fine. You’ve bet him once you can do it again” Xavier said trying to sound up beat but in knew him to well; he had doubt in his voice. Blake and his friends stopped at the half-pipe. This was it. I smiled at the guys having come off more confident than I actually was.
“You know you don’t have to do this, we can just go to mine” Blake said wiggling his eyebrows. Over confident dick.
“Gee thanks but no thanks. I can’t wait to see your face when beat you again.”
“Big talk for a little girl”
“Yes you do talk so big for someone so, so little” I smiled at him causing him to glare. I flipped him off and he did the same to me.
“Ladies first” he stood back and I got ready to go. I looked at the ramp and pushed off.
