I woke up with a jolt, turning around to look at my clock to see that it is 5.00am; I breathe a sigh falling back onto my bed. Looking up and moving my wrist to my face, breathing a sigh of relief as I look down at my wrist to see nothing, glad that it was just a dream. I lay in my bed breathing heavily. What did the dream mean and why was Blake in it? Does it mean anything? I’m reading into this way too much. I shake my head to try the dream out of it. It’s just a dream; it doesn’t mean anything I tried to reassure myself. I heard movement from downstairs, getting out of bed I head downstairs to see Josh sitting there drinking a coffee. “Hey” I said walking to the kitchen “What’s up?” I ask as I click the jug to make myself a coffee.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do” he turned and looked sadly at me “I don’t want to leave you here with, with them” he spat with venom
“You’re going to go to uni, and become a lawyer, and trust me, I’ll be fine”
“But, what if-”
“No. Do this Josh for yourself and if not for you, for me” I commanded “Promise me” I hold out my pinky
he sighed and wrapped his pinky around mine “I promise,” I turned around and saw mum and dad walking downstairs.
“Since everyone is up we’re leaving in 30 minutes to avoid rush hour traffic” dad told us.

Brushing my hair then tying it back into a pony tail. Putting my ‘IDGAF’ shirt on and my black jeans I run down stairs and managed to put my converse on just before we had to leave. I jumped in the car and sat in the back with Josh, when mum and dad started to talk so I put my ear phones in and turned up my music so I could just hear people talking. The car ride seemed silent until dad turned around and asked Josh what he wanted for lunch I looked down at my ipod and checked the time, shit we had been drving for quite some time.
“Yo Zoë what do ya want?” Josh asked elbowing me in the ribs, careful not to hit any brusies that could possiably be there.
“Um I dunno don’t care” I shrugged
“Mc Donald’s then?” Josh said staring at me, worry was clear in his eyes. I simply nodded and gave him the best grin I could muster; I don't want him to worry even more about me, even if it is justified.

We got to where Josh will be living for his Varsity years about an hour after we had stopped for lunch. “Josh dear we’ve got to go for a while but I’m sure Zoë will help you set everything up” mum told Josh who just nodded.
“So, where’s your room?”
“Um, it’s there, I think” He said pointing to the map. Josh loaded me up with some of his boxes and I followed him to his room.
“Hey finally my roommate has arrived, followed by?” A blonde haired guy said standing up checking me out.
“Hey man, I’m Josh and this is my baby sister Zoë” said Josh whilst unloading me after he had managed to unload his-self.
“Nice, I’m Drew. You’re pretty strong for a girl, not many could carry that many boxes” He said supprised
“Sup, thanks.... I think” not sure if what Drew just said was meant as a compliment or not.
“So do you play any sports?” Drew asked
“Yeah I do basketball, you?”
“Same here man..” I turned as quickly as possiable to get more of his boxes so I didn’t have to listen to them go on about basketball but got inturupted, which gave me a brilliant idea how to make them not talk about basketball “Cheers Zoë”
“All g bro. Hey dude is there a skate park around here any where?” I turned to face Drew
“Not that I know of”
“Fat lot of use you are. Josh want to drive about to-” I began to ask but got cut off.
“Ha-ha let me think, no”
“Come on man. Why not?”
“Later I ned to unpack some of my shit” I mentally fist pumped when he finally gave in. I laid back on his bed listening to my iPod waiting for them to stop talking as he unpacked, turns out it's not easy to make a bed when someone is on it. Who would've guessed?

“Zoë we’ve seen 2 skate parks but you don’t want to go to any of them” Josh said becoming frustrated
“Cause the first one is full of wanna bees who think they're the shit and the second one was full of little kids” I shrugged, glaring at Drew who just laughed whilst Josh murmed that I was a little kid. “Stop! This one looks good” I turned to Josh with my Cheshire grin. I got out of the car and turned to face the park as I headed off Josh called out to me that him and Drew were going to head over to the courts where some other guys around their age were playing.

“Zoe come on its time to go!” I turned to look at Josh but lost my and fell off my board.
“Dude, that wasn’t cool” I pushed off and went over to where Josh and Drew were standing.
“It’s time to go. Mum and dad will be back at campus shortly. I opened the car door and got into it without saying another word. “You’re real good at skateboarding, not even some guys I know are that good” I just looked up and smirked at Drew. When Josh stopped at a red light I leant over and plugged in my iPod ‘Not the American average’ came on and I started to sing/ scream to it as best as I could. Drew looked over at Josh who just shrugged. Drew reacher over and tried to turn off my iPod but I just swatted his hand away, punched him in the shoulder and glared at him. “Dude don’t even try, it not worth it” Josh warned Drew who sat there rubbing his shoulder.
“What do you mean?”
“ Never touch her iPod or anything when whilst she’s singing” when I had finished singing I smiled sweetly and innocently and said “I’m sweet and innocent” whilst smiling
“Yeah right and I’m batman”
“No you’re not, Andy is” Josh rolled his eyes and we began laughing. Drew finally managed to unplug my iPod and put the radio on so he could listen to “good” music whilst I slumpped back into my seat. We got back to the campus before mum and dad thankfully.

“Come in” Josh called. Mum and dad came into Josh’s and Drew’s room “Hey mum and dad” he greeted.
“Zoe it’s about time to leave” Dad told me
“Kay. See ya Josh don’t do anything I’d do”
“Wouldn’t dream of it” He poked his tongue out at me. I also said bye to Drew before mum dragged me out and led me to the car for our long journey home. Great I’d be stuck living with these two until Josh comes back for half semester or the weekend even. I turn to look out the window to see the sun lighting up the sky as it sets. I shuffle through my iPod finding a song I felt like listening too, I finally settled on ‘It was written in blood’ by “Bring Me The Horizon’
