Chihiro was walking around the hall where the dorms are, one hand holding her phone to text someone while the other held a laptop. She then stopped in front of a door and waited. The door soon opened.
"Hello Chihiro!" Taka greeted at the door.
"Hello Taka! May I come in?" Chihiro asked.
"Of course"
Chihiro was let in to see Kiyondo laying on the side of the bed, his legs off the said bed.
"Oh hey." Kiyondo said.
"I didn't know you would be here Kiyo!" Chihiro said surprised.
"I'm just bored and Taka is the only person I wanted to spend time with." Kiyondo said. "Should I leave?"
"There's no need!" Chihiro said putting the laptop on Taka's desk. "This isn't a private one on one meeting or anything, you can stay."
"Then why are you here?" Kiyondo asked.
"Chihiro wanted to show me something on her laptop in person." Taka answered.
"And no one else was free at the moment but luckily Taka is." Chihiro said finishing setting up something on the laptop.
The laptop screen glows a muted green, then a head that look like Chihiro's fades into the screen.
"What the fu- frick?" Kiyondo was surprised.
"Hello again master Chihiro!" The head said, their voice was like Chihiro's but more robotic.
"What is it Chihiro?" Taka asked curiously.
"This is Alter Ego! Something I have been working on for the past few weeks." Chihiro answered. "So far, it kinda works like an assistant. Like an Alexa. I'm still fleshing out the voice commands."
"That's really impressive!" Taka said mesmerized by such advanced tech.
"What does it do?" Kiyondo asked.
"You can ask it questions or do simple tasks like telling the time!" Chihiro replied. "You two can try it! Just type on the keyboard here."
The twins scooted closer to the laptop, some text popped up in the top right saying "Scanning faces..." then changed to "Familiar faces detected: Kiyotaka Ishimaru."
"Hey... how did this AI know about Taka if he hasn't met this thing before?" Kiyondo asked, suspicious.
"While testing out the face recognition, I used some of our classmate's pictures." Chihiro answered.
"So is that why you asked me to take a selfie of myself a while ago?" Taka asked.
"Yep! It was for this!" Chihiro said.
"Then why did it recognize me?" Kiyondo asked again.
"I guess you two look similar enough for Alter Ego to think you two are the same person. Notice how it only says 'Kiyotaka Ishimaru'" Chihiro responded. "I think I will need to make it more advance so this doesn't happen anymore."
Taka then did what Chihiro told him to try earlier; he used the keyboard and typed gently "What time is it currently?"
"It is currently 2:35 in the afternoon." Alter Ego responded right after Taka pressed enter.
"That's really cool!" Taka said impressed.
"I know right? It can also change in to someone else too!" Chihiro said as she started typing something in. "Change avatar: [Chihiro Fujisaki] to [Mondo Owada];"
Right after she finishes, the head pixelates and changed in to Mondo's.
"Woah!" Taka said impressed again.
"The voice changes according to the character as well!" Chihiro added.
"Can it change to..." Kiyondo began. "Taka?"
"Of course!" The short programmer said as she typed in more code, the face changed from Mondo to Taka in and instance.
"There you go, much better!" Kiyondo said happily. "I didn't want to look at his face right now..." That comment made Taka upset a little, after all this time Kiyondo still doesn't like his boyfriend.
Kiyondo had both of his arms resting on the desk, Chihiro noticed something on one of his wrists.
"Hey Kiyondo, what is that on your wrist?" Chihiro asked pointing at the thing.
"It's a bracelet." Kiyo said pulling the sleeve down revealing a metal chain bracelet with a s'mores charm on it.
"It's really cute! Where did you get it from?" Chihiro asked.
"Taka gave it to me when we hung out with eachother some months ago, it used to be keychain but I altered it into a bracelet so I can have it with me at all times."
"Wow! It must be really important to you!
"Of course it's important to me! My own damn flesh and bones gave me this!"
The three of them play around with Alter Ego for the next few hours, asking questions and testing out things. Chihiro would occasionally take notes on her phone of some features or improvements she could program to the AI. Soon it was dark.
"Thank you guys for helping me!" Chihiro said walking out the door. "Now I have some things to make Alter Ego more advance!"
"No problem Chihiro!" Taka said.
"Oh yeah, how is your Animal Crossing village going?"
"It's going great! Did you program Mondo in to the game?"
"Of course I did! You haven't gotten him?"
"Yes, I was starting to get worried."
"Don't worry! I'm sure you will get him soon! Goodbye you two!"
"Goodbye!"
Chihiro left leaving a happy Taka and a Kiyondo confused about this "Animal Crossing" thing.
(Sorry if this is lesser quality than the others...I kinda ran out of ideas... But have a little picture of Kiyondo I drew, even though I'm not the best at drawing...)
