Adelaide's Pov

Today's the day before homecoming and I still don't have a date

I still haven't talk to Peter since the encounter that happened yesterday and I want to make up with him

I walked into Del's Store and walked into a lot of people today

It was my turn to order

"Hello Ms. Garcia!" He greeted me

"Hello Mr. Delmar, umm did Peter stopped by earlier and bought a sandwich?" I asked

"No, I haven't seen Parker in a week" he said

"Ok great! Can I order his usual" I ordered

"the number 7... Will be up in a minute" He said

I stepped away for the other's to order and I just pet his cat until my order- technically Peter's, to serve

"Here you go Garcia and tell Peter I said hi" Mr. Delmar said

"I will sure do"

I walked out the store and went to school

I saw Peter by his locker doing something

"Hey Pete!" I greeted

"Oh hey Del!" He greeted back

"I'm sorry for what happened yesterday and I bought you a sandwich" I said as I pulled up the plastic bag

"Aww, you don't have to do this Del and you don't have to be sorry, I was just Moody yesterday but thank you" He said and came closer and gave me a comforting hug and I hugged back

"Hey Lovebirds" We heard someone greeted

"Oh hey MJ" we said as we pulled apart

"Can I steal you for a moment?" MJ looked at me and I suddenly followed her

"What's up MJ?" I asked

It was lunch time and I still don't have a date to homecoming

I complained to Michelle and she suggested me something that I never thought that would come cross my mind

"Just take Parker" She said out of nowhere

"What?" I chocked on my juice box as s she said her sentence

"Why don't you take Peter as your date, as a friend" She said

"I mean I could but... I'm not sure" I saw said

"I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a date" She said

"How would you know?" I asked

"I'm just observant" she said as she went back to eating her apple

I could ask Peter but do I want to.

We could go as friends but it would still be weird for me

Maybe I should ask him

I walked down the hall after my last period and saw Peter all happy and grinning

"What with the face Pete?" I asked

"Hey Del!" He greeted, completely ignoring my question

"Answer the question Pete" I said

"Ok fine, I asked Liz to homecoming" He finally said it

"You're taking Liz?" I asked, feeling the same stung on my chest

"Yeah, since she doesn't have a date due to the homecoming committee, I asked her" He said with a smile

"That's wonderful Peter!" I said

"Is something wrong Del?" He asked

"What?" I asked feeling distracted from the new feeling that I got, "I should probably go and do my duty but I might text you after" I said before walking away

There goes my chance on having a date

it should be fine, I might as a well go alone

I walked at a fast pase as I got into an alleyway to change into my suit

And away I swing and look over the neighborhood with an unfamiliar feeling on my torso.
