It's been five months since the ambush, and two months of being in the cabin. Winston hadn't heard anything surrounding law. We're safe for now.
Everyone has been lying low, no crimes or anything. The boys have actually taken up real work just so we can live comfortably for now. By the boys I mean Pa and Sam, and the girls I guess. I've been too focused on trying to be okay for once.
Pa knocked on my door, "Morning little lady".
"Morning pa".
He opened my door, "Whats goin on?".
"Nothing much, what about you?".
"Well," Pa took a second, "I was just thinking about something. You've never been into the city yet, have you?".
"Not yet. I don't know how keen I am on it right now though".
Pa nodded, "anyway, breakfast is ready if you wanna come eat with us".
I got out of my bed, "I'll be two minutes".
Pa closed my door and left. I got dressed and then joined everyone at the fire.
"So you ladies had fun yesterday?" Phil smiled at the girls.
Laura nodded, "I haven't felt so luxurious in my life".
"Well I'm glad, I'm glad".
"Yeah, the city is real nice Phil. It's just so industrial in some parts it's depressing" Sam added.
Phil looked at him, "That's why you don't go to that part kid".
Sam nodded.
"Hey Amira, hungry?" Phil looked at me.
I shrugged, "Maybe later Phil".
"What're your plans for tonight?" Phil asked.
"Oh nothing, most likely just gonna go on a horse ride around the fields and get used to the place. Haven't done that yet" I sat down.
"Pa tells me you haven't been in the city yet, that true?".
I nodded.
Sam laughed a little.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh nothing".
I rolled my eyes.
"I actually have to go into town today, join me?" Phil asked me.
I took a second, "I guess so".
"What did you have to go for?" Winston asked.
Phil looked at Winston, Winston took a a second and nodded.
"Well," Phil got up, "Let's get going, I'll show you a little bit of Saint Riviera".
I followed Phil to our horses. We got on, then started riding.
"It's a bit of a ride unfortunately, but at least we're not in the mess of city life" Phil spoke.
I nodded, "I don't wanna be a city girl".
"You're too messy".
"What's that supposed to mean?" I smiled.
"The women there are gonna hate you" Phil joked.
"Oh come on, I'm not that bad".
Phil laughed, "Funny".
We kept riding, and finally reached the city entrance. Phil stopped so I did too.
"Welcome to Saint Riviera".
