I woke up before everyone. Not a surprise, everyone had drank their souls away. Adam had an anger meltdown again, then left to who knows where. I don't know what he's off doing. Phil and Winston are discussing the possibility that he's getting into trouble with the law.
I decided to make some coffee and stroll into town. Around this time, everything started opening up.
Dean opened the door to his doctors office, "I thought that was you Amira! Come inside!".
I smiled, "Good morning".
I walked inside and he closed the door behind me.
"How've you been? It's been, what? Two months now?" He started organizing some stuff on the shelves.
I shrugged, "Something like that. We've been good, planning an escape plan. How're you?".
"Great, great. Working on some new medicines with my coworkers down south. Might be getting onto something here for the common cold. Didn't tell you this when you were sick, but that medicine I gave you was of my own making. I'm glad it worked".
I laughed a little, "Life is full of adventures, I would've said yes anyway".
"I was more worried about your boy toy saying no" Dean looked back at me.
I looked down at my feet.
"What's wrong?" Dean asked.
"I don't know," I took a second, "Adam has... we're worried about him".
"Explain" Dean sat down.
"Well... he's been having these random blackouts of anger. When he gets upset, he starts fighting, getting aggressive. Lately it's getting more and more consistent. Almost like it's just who he is now".
"I'm sorry to hear about that," Dean thought for a moment, "Any recent head injuries you can think of?".
I took a moment, "I don't think he's had any, I mean-".
"What?".
"A-a cop hit him really hard in the back of the head with his gun during the bank robbery".
Dean nodded once and sighed, "That's it then".
"That's what?" I asked.
"He more than likely has brain damage, I'm so sorry about that Amira".
I held back tears.
"You can help him though, if you could manage to bring him in I can properly diagnose him".
I laughed a little, "There is no way that man will ever come in here unless he's dying".
"Then tell me about this plan you mentioned earlier" Dean started looking around.
"The escape plan?".
Dean nodded.
"Well, Pa and Orville and I agreed that we were done. Done with this life".
"Done with robbing and killing?".
"Yeah," I nodded, "Done with running I guess. Not so much the robbing and the killing".
Dean laughed a little.
"We're gonna do this last score and get out of here. Clear our bounties and be done with it. Maybe get a farm somewhere and make an honest living".
Dean grabbed a bottle and put it down on the desk, "What's this last score?".
"The auction house in town".
Dean looked up at me shocked, "The Kensington auction house?".
I nodded.
"Holy, uhm... okay. That's a big one".
