I woke up in a field of bright green. My body felt numb, I didn't feel like myself. I was surrounded by flowers, hills, miles of fields. Not a tree in sight. Something you hear straight out of a dream.

I got up.

"Amira".

I felt my heartbeat, I turned around.

My dad smiled, "My little girl".

"Dad?" I smiled.

"It's me. It's dad, I'm right here" My dad held his arms out.

I ran to him, and I hugged him. He hugged me right. So tight. I felt his warmth, his humanness. My dad was him.

"I thought you... I thought you were dead?" I started to cry.

My dad wiped my tears away, "I am. I am baby girl. I'm so sorry. I feel horrible that I wasn't there to protect you through everything. I failed as a parent".

"You got me out of there. Thank you".

My dad smiled, "You, you really showed me up".

I laughed a little.

"You really lived up to my legacy. You beat me, you did so well. I am so proud of you".

"Thanks dad" I started crying again.

"Hey," My dad wiped my tears away again, "You did good kid, you did good".

"I tried so hard".

"You did so good. I am so proud of you for how you handled yourself. I am even more proud of you for getting out and making a better life for yourself".

"I was so worried you would be mad dad" I cried.

My dad laughed a little, "You're just like your mother. Slightly paranoid".

"Oh shut up!" I laughed a little.

"You go make me even more proud kid, okay? Find a boy, get married, have kids, live a good life a good woman".

I nodded, "I promise dad".

"Whatever you choose, I'll be there supporting you from where I am. You got that?".

I nodded.

"Good, I love you. Be good now. Alright?".

I hugged him, he hugged me back. Everything started to go even more numb. Started to go black.

Suddenly, I couldn't see anything. I woke up in my bedroom.
