Jia's POV

"Feeling better?" Soonyoung asked as I slowly nodded my head right after gulping down the glass fo water he bought.

I just had a nightmare about my father's death, my mother dying because of the accident, and my step father abusing me. Next thing I knew in that dream, I was lonely and all that was left is nothing, but me.

It is the thing that I feared the most.

I am scared of being alone although I really am alone right now.

How ironic, huh.

"Guess you had a nightmare, huh" Soonyoung cooed.

"Mind telling me about it, so it can ease your anxiety?" He asked as I slowly turned to him.

"It is none of your business, Soonyoung," I sternly said as he stared at me, blinking his eyes multiples times.

I can't just let him know more.

"I don't think you should know more about me, so please leave"

"I-I was just trying to offer you some comfort since you look like you were in a chaotic mess earlier" he explained as I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"I don't need any of your comfort now that I'm okay, so please...just leave" I remarked the few last words before I lied down, turning my back against him as I pulled the sheets up.

I heard him sigh before he got up to leave my room, leaving me in total silence.

How I wish it was that easy to reach out to people.

But it's not because my step father has broken my trust a million times.

People are really full of facades.

Out of all, I despise the liars the most.

Soonyoung's POV

I stifled a sigh as I closed the door before making my way to the living room to continue watching the television.

Why is she pushing me away?

I mean, she has the rights to since she just met me.

But I was trying to help.

Jia is full of mysteries, she doesn't talk that much and often has that smug and serious expression plastered on her face. I really am eager to find out what is her past.

I guess, she needs space.

My thoughts were interrupted upon feeling my phone vibrate again. I pulled it out from my pocket to check the notification.

Mom:
If you won't come back, I will send your sister to come and get you.

I scoffed as I rolled my eyes upon seeing her message. I find it hilarious that she is now using my sister to coax me into coming back.

Does she really think that I'm scared of my sister?

Just because she is an agent who is skilled in combat, that doesn't mean I'm scared of her.

I don't even care about that girl anymore since she won't cooperate with me.

Minkyung:
Soonyoung, come back now please. Let the cops and us, agents deal with this matter. This is not your job.

Me:
If only you will help me then I will come back.

Minkyung:
You know, I can't do that since I might get fired from my job. You're not an agent yet you're asking me to get you involve in this dangerous mission.

Me:
Noona, you don't understand. You know, uncle Jungsoo is a powerful man who has lots of connections and he can really turn everyone against us.

Me:
Which is why I suggest that only you and I work on this together, no other agents.

Minkyung's POV

I scoffed as I put back my phone inside my pocket. I smoked a few more puffs before coming back inside the warehouse.

Soonyoung is right, Uncle Jungsoo does really have the power to turn some of my co-agents into his allies. My brother is a smart guy, but I can't let him work on this mission with me or else it might endager his life.

"So, you won't really talk, huh?" I put over my foot between his legs that parted ways.

"Spill the beans now before I even end your life" I whispered to him.

"I won't talk and wait 'till your uncle knows about this!" He exclaimed as he tried to resist from the ropes that wrapped his body, halting him from escaping.

"If he knew about this, you're a dead meat!" He exclaimed as I smirked at him which startled him.

I'm a firm, serious person.

I don't smile, and when I do.

It means showdown.

"Oh, really?" I asked as I neared my lips to his ear.

"You know, it's been a long time since I felt blood lust take over me" I smirked as I made an eye contact with him. His brave eyes have gone and have been replaced with petrify.

"The last time I felt blood lust take over me was when the president's daughter was kidnapped" I trailed off as I trailed my fingertips on the knife.

"It was the time when I was tasked to save the president's daughter. I was outnumbered, but I took them all down, right?" I raised an eyebrow at him who still plastered a petrified expression.

"I-I'm sorry" I grinned in a low tone as I leaned onto his ear again, slightly slitting the knife on his neck, until a line of red had appeared causing him to wince.

It's only the beginning.

How pathetic.

This is no fun.

"So behave yourself, agent Kim. You and I are co-workers and you know me when I'm aroused by the warnings and thrill" I chuckled as my smirked grew even wider.

"I'll be giving you a few hours to talk. If not, I'll declare you dead due to natural causes" I turned around, walking away from him.

He knows where my brother is since he is one of the guards that chased Soonyoung when he tried to steal the valuable evidence from uncle Jungsoo's office.

All I need is to get the information out from his mouth.

"Y-You crazy bitch!" He shrieked as I slowly turned my head at him.

"Oh, this is only a warning, Agent Kim. If you won't talk, you'll get to see more of this nightmare." I smirked before I continued to walk away from him.
