Soonyoung's POV
As soon as I heard strange noises coming from the phone, I wasted no time to find her. Although, the rain is still pouring out just like my adrenaline rushing through my veins to take me over.
Although, I am scared of what will happen to me, thinking of Jia has made me feel brave and eager to save her. I frantically looked around, still running as the rain that had flooded on the ground, patted my shoes.
I heard a cry followed by a silent whimper. I turned my head on the alleyway, only to find three guys cornering this one girl.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I clenched my jaw, making my way towards them. I wasted no time throwing a punch from the tall guy who was hovering over her with a metal knife.
I grabbed Jia's hand, pulling her and making her stand behind me as I dodge the punches that was about to come to me from the two guys.
"Jia, run!" I shouted.
"B-But-"
"Just run!"
"S-Soonyoung, don't get in our way" the tall panted spoke as he struggled to stand up properly due to the punch I threw on his head.
"Tsk, Killing her? Really? You know better than that, Kim Mingyu" I scoffed as I continued to fight his two comrades.
"It was an order" Mingyu spoke.
"My sister ordered you, didn't she? And you obeyed because you're a godamn underdo-" I was cut off by the sudden throw of punch from one of the guys, making me fall on the ground.
"Look kid, I'm just trying to do my work here so I could earn enough money for a living..." Mingyu placed his foot right on my chest, making me gasp as I panted for air greedily.
He knelt down, pulling out a knife which he trailed off from my neck, to my collarbone. A line of red started to drip down as I winced in pain.
"I don't care even if you are my boss' broth-" I kicked him to the curb making him winced in pain. I took the opportunity to escape by running away as I held my neck that was still bleeding.
Jia's POV
The door suddenly slammed open, making me flinch. Soonyoung stood by the doorway, clothes and hair soaked from the rain, blood was dripping from the line that was drew from his neck to the collarbone.
"S-Soonyoung" I called. He breathed for air greedily as he closed the door. I made my way towards him before he even collapsed on the ground.
"S-Soonyoung, y-you're bleeding!" I exclaimed in tears as I touched his hand that was covering the laceration.
"D-Do what you need to do" I heard him muttered.
Minkyung's POV
"What? Are you fucking kidding me?" The three boys stood in front of me, looking all pathetic with the wounds and bruises they had received.
"I can't believe you got defeated by a 21-year old boy" I scoffed as I looked away.
"How pathetic"
"You had one fucking job, Kim Mingyu" I raised my tone making the three of them hung their head low in shame.
"B-But h-he was your brother. I-I can't just-"
"Get out"
"H-Huh" The boys tilted their head, staring at me.
"I said get out before I could even do something else to you!" I shouted which made the three flinched as they hurriedly left the office in silence.
I stifled a sigh as I leaned on my swivel chair with eyes closed. Now, that I failed to get rid of that girl. I will now have to face Soonyoung and explain things to him throughly.
I thought I could eliminate her easily and make it look like an accident, but I guess I'm wrong.
Why would Soonyoung protect her?
That boy is really naive.
I bet he's mad at me now.
Jia's POV
Despite the panic I felt, I tried my best to remain calm and do my job. I cleaned his wounds, located on the side of his forehead, kneecap and especially the one that was drew from his neck to his collarbone.
There were lots of bruises on his body. The corner of his lips, his stomach, arms and such. He must've felt really exhausted which made him collapsed.
"J-Jia" Soonyoung called in a groggy low voice.
"Soonyoung! You're finally awake!" Tears unknowingly started to stream down as I unconsciously gave him a tight hug.
"I was so worried about you when you passed out!" I exclaimed as I let go of the hug to grab the medicine and glass of water from the night stand.
"Here, drink this so you'll feel okay" I said as he slowly sat up to drink his medicine.
"Are you okay?" He asked, turning his head towards me right after drinking his medicine.
"I should be the one asking you that" I responded as he smile lightly.
"Just seeing you fine makes me relieve already" I sighed as I rolled my eyes.
"Don't say that" He chuckled.
"You even have the guts to be all smiley at this point"
"Yeah, all because you're fine duh" he rolled his eyes as I shook my head.
I stood up from my chair, grabbing the empty glass. "Now that you're fine, I'll be in my-" I was cut off by the sudden darkness making me startled.
"A black out, huh" Soonyoung spoke as he pulled out a lighter from his pocket before lighting it up.
"Must be because of the terrible storm" He added as I sighed.
"I know, stay here while I try to find some candles and flashlight" I spoke as I grabbed the lighter from him, but before I could even walk away he halted me.
"W-Wait!" He exclaimed as I turned around.
"What?"
"C-Could you at least leave me with the lighter?"
"It'll only be a few seconds, Soonyoung. Don't tell me you're scared of the dark" I smirked teasingly.
"I-I'm not! But it's just really dark right now!" He exclaimed.
"All right, all right" I gave him back the lighter before making my way to the kitchen where all the cupboards can be located, containing the candles and flashlights.
