Soonyoung's POV
~Friday~
I felt haggard, and low as soon as I woke up. I could not sleep as I kept thinking on what I should do to prove that my uncle is the one who killed my father.
I tried to get the archived evidence in his office, but I failed because I have no accomplices. No one would help me out to find justice for my father, not even our trusted butlers and guards would dare to since they are afraid of my uncle.
He is a powerful man who has a lot of connection and wealth. From the day that my dad became the owner of the corporation, I knew there was something going on between him and uncle.
And I was right!
I saw him kill my father my own two eyes. He did something to my father's car and it looked like an accident to everyone but it's not.
I know where to find the flash drive that contains the deleted footage of it, but I need help to get it as it was somewhere hidden in his office that was heavily guarded with the people he hired.
If I wouldn't be able to get my hands on it then I might as well just kill him.
Just like the saying that goes 'An eye an eye, a tooth of a tooth'
Soon, he will get what he deserve.
"Take care of the house for me" Jia said before slamming the door shut.
"I will" I answered as silence accompanied me as soon as she left.
Jia's POV
"Nice to see you again, Jia" Joshua smiled as he waved at me.
"You too" I muttered back in response as I walked passed by him, making my way to the washroom to change to my uniform.
"So, you're back, huh" Joshua said as I got to the cashier.
"Of course, I still need more money for my tuition"
"Man, I guess medical course do really take a lot of time and money to finish" He said as he leaned on wall.
"It really does" I answered as a customer came, putting down the products she bought. I then started to process the transaction and after that, she immediately paid to.
"Aren't you late for your other job?" I asked as Joshua flinched in realization.
"Right! I'll see you around, Jia! Bye!" He exclaimed, grabbing his bag as he run out of the convenience store, leaving me alone.
Joshua and I met when I started working here. He is a nice, calm gentleman who welcomed me warmly. He is also a hardworking and I really admire him for that.
His dream is to be a hotel owner and I'm amazed on how he is handling his schedule. He is really saving up money for that and he studies hard to know more about the work he had to do to have a hotel.
"Owner of Diamond corporation died in a car accident. Kwon Sunjae, whom is the owner of Diamond corporation was found dead on arrival after a car crash..."
"Former owner's son was nowhere to be found after the death of its father was confirmed yesterday" The announcer said.
I was about to listen more to the radio when a man came inside the store which caught my attention since it is my priority to serve him.
Soonyoung's POV
"Geez, how do maids do this" I wiped off my sweat as I breathed for air greedily. I already turned on the electric fan, but it wasn't enough to reduce the heat in and sweat forming on my body.
I vacuumed and mopped the floor, washed the dishes and dust a few shelves. It was exhausting for me since I never really do these kind of chores because I have maids that takes care of it.
But since, I am in someone else's territory, it would be rude of me to not show gratitude.
Since, I'm done cleaning the living room, dining area, and kitchen. I should clean some more.
Ah! Her room!
She would be happy to see it cleaned!
I went to her room and started to clean with no hesitation. I dust the shelves, vacuumed the floor, fixed portraits on her desk and a lot more.
Those portraits of people caught my attention. There's this portrait of two old people whom I assume were her grandparents and a young girl who I assumed she is.
And there's this another portrait of an elder woman, a young girl whom I assumed Jia and a man, but the man's face was unclear as it was ripped off from the photograph
Something is going on.
I'm curious about her background.
She just told me her name, age and the city she lives in.
Jia's POV
The day was exhausting, there wasn't much customers coming in today, but I'm glad that there were no drunk people, sketchy man or kids trying to get a hold of cigarette and alcohol that came in today.
It was night already, Joshua had already take in for his shift. I still can't believe on how he could put on a smile on his face despite having two jobs and three hours of rest.
I gave myself a break by only working one job at a time.
I work at the coffee shop back in Seoul during school days, but during summer breaks. I would come here in province to work at this local store.
"I'm back" I announced with a low voice as soon as I came inside the house, but then the feast of food on the table made my eyes widened.
"S-Soonyoung"
"I made you some dinner since I know you're tired" he smiled excitedly as I sat down across him, eyes rounded, mouth agape.
"B-But Soonyoung-"
"I know you're tired from work, so let's eat up!" He exclaimed as he placed a bowl of soup, rice, stew and other kinds of food in front of me.
"Soonyoung, how could you cook all our two week worth of food?" I asked which halted him from eating.
"I bought those groceries to last us for a couple of weeks since we literally didn't have anything," I stifled a sigh.
"We need to save up food, okay? We're not rich" I stood up, making my way to the bedroom with droopy shoulders.
I'm trying my best not to get angry at him.
"But I do appreciate you for the effort of cleaning and cooking" I reassured before twisting the doorknob of my door, opening it and what I saw, shocked me.
That's it.
"Soonyoung, how could you?!"
