Mandy arrived at Amy's place later that afternoon. They were going to have some girls' time.

"So, you have the house all to yourself?" Mandy couldn't hide the excitement in her voice.

"Aside from the maids. Yes." Amy replied with the same excitement.

Both girls squealed as they raced to Amy's bedroom.

"I won!" Mandy screamed, jumping on Amy's bed, causing both girls to burst out in laughter.

"You know..." Amy began when their laughter had died down.

"I always wanted us to have a sleepover like this, without our parent's supervision."

"Yeah. Me too." Mandy sighed in agreement.

"I never had the house to myself cos of my brothers... They're the ones who always ended up bringing their friends over whenever mom and dad were on a business trip." Mandy continued.

"But finally, I get the chance to experience what it's like to have the house to myself, thanks to you." She said in conclusion.

"What are we gonna do now?" Amy then asked.

They both wore their thinking faces and in a matter of seconds, Mandy was already grinning.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" She asked, as she already had a mischievous smirk on her face.

Amy immediately caught on to what her best friend was thinking.

"Let's bake!" They squealed, running out of the bedroom and heading for the kitchen.

From when both girls were little, they had always wanted to bake but never got the chance. They were always stopped by their parents, who constantly reminded them that it was the cook's job to bake, not theirs. They didn't stop there, they went as far as joining home economics class just so they would learn how to bake. They achieved their goal and now, they want to put it into practice.

When they got to the kitchen, Amy asked the maids to stop whatever they were doing and leave the kitchen. The maids didn't object.

After the maids left, Amy and Mandy had the kitchen all to themselves. They baked apple pie, strawberry cake, and peanut butter cookies for hours while dancing to some music on Amy's phone. One wouldn't say they did a clean job, as the entire kitchen was a mess with both girls covered in flour.

When they were done baking, Amy asked the maids to help them clean up the mess they made, after they had apologized with a tray of cookies, to appease the maids. Amy and Mandy showered after that and changed into their matching pajamas. They decided to have a movie night in Amy's bedroom, while they ate the cookies they baked, alongside popcorn, and soda, and they may have also ordered pizza.

While the movie was playing, they got into a pillow fight, both laughing hysterically. When they couldn't find any more pillows to fight with, they both lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I had fun. Did you?" Amy said, breaking the peaceful silence.

"Yeah. Thanks, Amy, for the unforgettable experience." Mandy replied, smiling at her best friend.

"We can do some other fun things tomorrow." Amy smiled back.

"Yeah... We can." A yawn escaped Mandy's lips and they both took that as a cue to go to bed.

Amy was woken up by the sound of her best friend's voice. Mandy was on the phone with someone while moving around the room. The bedroom was still messy with feathers from last night's pillow fight. When Mandy's eyes met Amy's, she sent a wave her way and Mandy smiled in return. After some minutes, the call ended.

"Who was it?" Amy asked, sitting up.

"That was Jack. Guess what?..." Mandy excitedly exclaimed, joining Amy on the bed.

"What? You know I'm not good at guessing."

"Okay. I know you're not good at waiting either, so I'll just give you the gist."

"Out with it already!" Amy demanded, already eager to hear what her best friend had to say.

"Impatient, are we.." Mandy teased with a smirk.

"Gosh Mandy, you're annoying!"

"Okay, okay. Here it goes... Jack's parents went on a business trip this morning, so.." Mandy said and then paused.

"So?..." Amy repeated.

"He's hosting a party tonight!" Mandy screamed in excitement.

"Oh!" Amy's face fell at the information. She wasn't a fan of parties.

"There are going to be lots of people at the party. Some from our school, some from our rival school, and even..."

Amy zoned out on her best friend. She never liked parties and she doesn't think she ever will. Senior prom was nothing compared to real parties, yet she couldn't spend an hour there.

"Amy, are you even listening?" Mandy's voice asked, bringing her out of her little world.

"Sorry, I zoned out for a moment... What were you saying?" She apologized and pretended to be interested in the topic.

"I was saying... The party is going to be a blast. You should come."

"I don't know, Mandy. I've never been a fan of parties." Amy replied, sounding unsure.

"That's cos you've never been to one. I'm your best friend, I can tell you're eager to know what it's like to have real fun."

There was some truth in what Mandy just said. Although, Amy didn't like parties and her dad never encouraged her to go to one. Deep down, she wanted to know what it was like to have fun in that manner.

"Mandy, I ca-"

"Don't say the word. You're going." Mandy said, quickly cutting her off.

"I don't like what I hear." Amy tried to object.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine. Besides, the party's at Jack's place and I'll be by your side... Just let me know when you feel like leaving and I'll drive you home."

"You promise?" Amy asked after much hesitation.

"I promise."
