Henry and Paula couldn't believe their ears. Their daughter was pregnant and they had no clue. Paula was filled with so much regret. She knew something was wrong with her daughter when she saw her at the engagement dinner, but Amy had brushed it off. She should've followed her instincts and taken her daughter to see a doctor; that way, she would have prevented this disaster from happening. She only prays her baby comes out of this in one piece.

Henry, on the other hand, was livid. How did his daughter end up getting pregnant? How could she have been so careless? He thought he raised her better than that. Now, that bastard doesn't want to have anything to do with her, and the worst part of it all is the fact that he has no idea who the jerk is.

If only he knew his identity, he'd fly over a thousand miles to teach him a lesson, with the current rage he was feeling.

At that thought, Henry's attention turned to Mandy, who was silently crying in her boyfriend's arms. He then made his way towards them. Mandy lifted her eyes when she felt a presence in front of her, it was Henry. She could tell he was ready to do the unthinkable to the person who put Amy in this condition from the rage in his eyes.

"Mandy, you're my daughter's best friend and I'm certain you two don't keep anything from each other. So, please tell me who is responsible for this."

Henry's question put Mandy on a really hot seat. How does she tell him that his best friend is the reason behind Amy's current state? Things won't go down well if he finds out the truth.

"I- um..." Her eyes traveled in Paula's direction, and she noticed the older woman shaking her head and pleading with her eyes for her not to say anything.

Mandy swallowed the lump in her throat while nervously playing with her fingers.

"Mandy, please say something," Henry said with desperation in his voice.

Just then, Bryan arrived, making it all the more difficult for Mandy.

"I'm sorry, Mr Norman," she nervously replied in a quiet voice. She couldn't betray her best friend even in her absence.

Henry let out a frustrated shout, hitting his fist on the wall.

"Hey, Henry. Take it easy, calm down. What happened?.. I came as fast as I could." Bryan held his best friend's hand to prevent him from inflicting more pain on himself.

"Tell me, Bryan. Where did I go wrong? Why would my daughter decide to end her life all because of a man?.."

"What?!" Bryan exclaimed in surprise and shock. He is just hearing the details of what happened now, as Sean only sent him a text saying Amy was in the hospital without any further information regarding what happened.

Why would she take such a huge risk? Why would she go as far as trying to take her own life? He didn't think she'd go this far. He should never have broken up with her.

"... And to think she was pregnant for the bastard," Henry continued, venting out some cuss words.

Bryan's world came crashing down after Henry's statement. Amy was carrying his child, his flesh and blood. How did he miss that? How was he so careless? God! He just made a total mess of everything.

"How is she? How is the baby? What did the doctor say?" Bryan bombarded Henry with these questions.

"She's currently in a coma."

"And the baby?"

"Fortunately, she lost it."

"How can you say such a thing?!" Paula angrily asked, wondering how Henry could be so insensitive at a time like this.

"What do you expect me to say? That I'm sad she lost that bastard's child?"

If Bryan was heartbroken before, he became completely shattered at the news of his child's death. He is the cause of his child's death and he'll never forgive himself for it. He just lost his chance at being a dad for the second time.

"What happened to your hand?" Henry suddenly asked, staring at Bryan's bandaged hand.

"Uh. It's just a small cut, nothing serious," Bryan replied before excusing himself from their presence.

Paula didn't wait even a minute long, as she followed Bryan outside the hospital.

"Bryan!" She called once they were outside the hospital building.

As soon as Bryan turned around to face Paula, he was greeted with two hard slaps across the face.

"You bastard! You jerk!" She yelled while hitting his chest and sobbing.

"I told you to put an end to this, but you didn't listen; now look what you've done!"

Bryan lets her express her anger in any way she can because he deserves it. He deserves whatever she was doing to him at the moment and even more. If he could even switch places with Amy, he'd gladly do it. He should be the one in the hospital, not her, not Amy. She doesn't deserve any of the things she has been through.

"I swear to God, Bryan, if anything happens to my daughter, I'll send you to hell," Paula threatened through a clenched jaw before storming back into the hospital.

Bryan absentmindedly walked to his car and got inside.

What has he done?

Now more than ever, Henry will kill him if he learns the truth.

He felt so useless, alone, and lost at this point in his life, as he had no idea what the future holds.
