Paula is currently in the room with Amy. She was the first to arrive at the hospital as she was anxious to see her daughter. Kyle decided not to go into the hospital room with Paula because he didn't want to overwhelm Amy with his presence, even though the doctor said she was out of danger. He promised to give Amy a visit as soon as she was discharged from the hospital, to which Paula didn't object. Kyle asked Paula to give Amy a bouquet of white roses and a get-well card he got for her on his behalf before saying goodbye.

Amy, on the other hand, was excited when she learned that Kyle was in town, but her excitement didn't last long as it was soon replaced with a long face.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Paula asked, her voice laced with worry and concern.

"Mom, I need to see Bryan," Amy said in a quiet voice.

Paula couldn't believe it. After all that happened, she still wants to see the man that put her in this present state.

"Amy, you can't be serious... You're here because of that jerk and you still think about him? God, Amy! What has he done to you?"

"Mom, he didn't mean any of the things he said. Please let me see him." Amy pleaded with teary eyes.

She needed to see Bryan one more time. She wanted him to look her in the eyes and repeat everything he said, as the only image that consumed her mind was that of Bryan confessing that all he said the other day was a lie.

"Really? But it was enough to make you want to kill yourself," Paula angrily replied, finding it hard to understand why Amy wanted to see a man who broke up with her without a second thought.

She forbade Bryan from coming anywhere close to her daughter and she wouldn't go back on her word, not even for Amy's sake.

"Bryan didn't show up," she lied to her daughter, hoping that would help erase whatever good memories she still had of Bryan.

'It's not true. Bryan can't turn his back on her just like that' Amy kept repeating in her head, as her thoughts went back to their last encounter in his office. The memory brought tears to her eyes. She didn't want to believe that he never loved her; that was a fat lie, and he knew it too.

Paula was moved by her daughter's tears. She has endured a lot all because she chose to pursue an impossible love. Just as she was about to change her mind, the door to the room opened, revealing Amy's dad. He had a bouquet of pink roses with him, which he placed on Amy's lap before kissing her forehead.

Henry didn't utter a single word; rather, he stood by her bedside, staring at her intensely. Amy could see the pain and uttermost disappointment in her dad's eyes, it made her feel bad. She was suddenly consumed with deep guilt and regret for not considering her parents before taking such a rash action. She lowered her head in embarrassment, as she was too ashamed to look at her dad.

Paula realized that the two needed alone time, so she excused herself.

"I'll be outside if you need anything," she said to Amy, giving her hand a light squeeze before leaving their presence.

Some minutes after Paula left the room, Henry let out a heavy sigh.

"Why?" He asked, breaking the thick and awkward silence.

"I'm sorry," Amy mumbled in reply, staring at her fingers like they were the only thing she could look at.

"This isn't about being sorry, Amy. How did you think I felt when I heard that my daughter tried to kill herself? What if I had lost you?"

Amy began to sob the moment those words left her dad's lips, but Henry wasn't done yet. Amy needed to know the fright, hurt, and pain her actions made him feel over the past few days.

"I try my best as your father, Amy. I give you my love and affection, my time, my undivided attention... I give you everything you ask of me. Hell! I even give you what you don't ask for, but how do you show your gratitude? You decide to end your own life just because an excuse of a boyfriend breaks up with you." Her dad's voice cracked with emotion at the end of his sentence, causing Amy to feel awful.

"I'm so sorry, dad. I didn't know what I was thinking. I thought that was my only option at the time; please forgive me," Amy sobbed, reaching for her dad's hand.

It was never her intention to disappoint her dad or cause him pain, she was only driven by her emotions.

Henry hugged his daughter, who was currently sobbing against his stomach while murmuring the words

"I'm sorry, daddy,"

"I forgive you, princess," he assured her, making her hug him even tighter.

After what felt like an eternity, Amy's sobs turned to sniffles. Henry adjusted her pillow so she could sit comfortably on the bed.

"I want to know one thing, Amy..." He continued, taking a seat beside her.

"Why did you think I wouldn't take care of my grandchild when I raised you almost by myself?"

'What the hell is her dad talking about?' Amy wondered, staring at her dad with furrowed eyebrows.

She didn't have the guts to tell him that she was seeing someone, not to mention who he was or the fact that they'd broken up. So, what grandchild is he referring to?

"Dad, I- I don't understand what you're talking about?" Amy replied, unsure of what her dad was talking about.

Was he referring to her future with Sean?

"There's no need to deny it now. The doctor told us everything."

This is getting more complicated. What did the doctor see?

"Everything like?" She couldn't help but ask.

Henry wanted his daughter to trust him enough to tell him the truth, but since she wanted to pretend to be ignorant, he'd save them both the time.

"You were five weeks pregnant. Isn't that what you were trying to hide?"
