The last thing I remembered was the brutal pain in my legs, they had been severed by samurai who had finished having their way with me. Damn samurai. There was blood everywhere, I was practically bathing in it at this point. My entire body felt like it was being burned alive, I couldn't do much but wail and cry hoping for someone to help. I was beyond helping, I was going to die, I couldn't seem to come to terms with it. Wails turned into loud sobs and hics as I began crying, I put my hands together to pray one last time.

"Kamisama, it's not fair, I haven't done anything wrong, why am I being punished?" I prayed, ignoring the growing dizziness that seemed to leech off the back of my head.

Everything was black from there. I woke up in a futon, no... I woke up on death's door.

The room felt hot, and my skin felt sticky. I was too light headed to even process my savior, was it all an illusion? Was I dreaming? My vision was blurry and my head pounded with pain.

"I cannot save you, not like this."

A woman's voice, who's that?

"Do you still wish to live? I can help you, but your humanity will be forever lost," The sweet voice of the woman seemed to taunt me, "Do you really want to live like that? Continue on as a demon?"

Demon? Like, the monsters in children's stories? Or the spirit demons that are the ghosts of bad people... Does she plan to kill me? Not okay, not okay at all! I tried to fight and squirm, lifting myself with my arms with my adrenaline fueled strength.

"Don't touch me, dammit! I'm not gonna die yet, if God wants me dead he'll have to come down here and kill me himself!" I preached, a wave of dizziness engulfed me.

It doesn't matter how stubborn or tough I act, I'm going to die either way. I should've stayed inside today, I rather have my mother yell at me then sit in here and bleed out.

"Do you wish to cease to be human, to forever lose your humanity in turn for life?"

The woman still spoke nonsense, I could hardly process what she was saying as I was focused on repressing my urge to vomit. The metallic taste of blood taunted my taste buds as a surge of excruciating pain infected my body.

"I don't care, do what you need to," I mumbled, shaking as my blood continued to rush out of my body. How was I not dead yet, was my body just as stubborn as I was?

Dizziness consumed me whole as my entire body felt like it was on a cloud versus a futon, I felt as if I was flying. Is this what dying was like? It's so... Pleasant, I don't think I've ever been more at peace. That warm and comforting feeling was violently ripped from me, it wasn't the feeling of dying and going to whatever afterlife awaited me. It was the feeling of transforming into a monster, more of a monster than any samurai or beast.

A surge of savage energy surged through me, I didn't get that burning feeling of fire as if I was getting an adrenaline rush but something more aggressive. As if some animal had taken over my body, a carnal hunger invaded my senses. I sat upward, standing on what was left of my legs. The brutality was the only thing I could feel. The pain in my figure completely vanished, as the injury never even seemed to happen. Everything felt dizzy, as the sudden rush left me as soon as it came. Hunger and blood still taunted me as I sat up with my mouth and eyes wide open. Overcome with the annoying and familiar dizziness, I could see the pretty woman who helped me.

Wait help me, did she even really do that? It seemed like my skin was trying to escape itself, like something alive crawled up and down it. Erratic twitching mocked my body, at this point it felt I was possessed by something inhuman. My body tried to fight whatever sickness erupted inside me by spilling the contents of my stomach onto the soft futon below me. The painful and burning taste of stomach acid remained on my tongue as I tried to regain my senses only to spill more acid. The rush seemed to disappear, leaving me in cold sweat and shaking violently as my body recovered, dizziness still seemed to linger inside my pounding brain.

"Your reaction to the medicine was a lot less than what I was expecting. Especially considering the extent of your injury," The woman sat a couple feet away from where she was originally, "Just now your body underwent the first major change of becoming a demon, which is your body becoming stronger and your cells multiplying. Your body didn't know what was happening so it made you vomit, it's a normal instinct even for demons." She continued, her face didn't waver from the neutral expression she continuously wore.

My headache only seemed to get more intense, "I'm not sure how long this will take, changing you into a demon that is," The woman stood up, and walked into a closet where she pulled out a wheelchair made out of bamboo, metal rods, and rubber.

"My name is Tamayo, I do hope we can get along." Tamayo's voice was soft, and her figure seemed to have a glow to it as a small smile made way to her face.

"Tamayo-sama, you're a demon?" I asked, my voice in a whisper.

She nodded, her smile fading and her eyes becoming soft. "But, that can't be right at all," I had started.

"...because you look like an angel."
