"Would you stop horsing around." You pestered the 18 year old greaser who was playing around in the street while you walked down the sidewalk next to him.
"Who's horsing?" Two-Bit asked curiously, he spun around in the wind as a car flew past him and flipped off the driver with both hands. A contagious laugh erupted from his lips at his own dry humor.
"You. You're horsing." You pointed out with a small giggle at his childish antics.
Finally he stumbled back onto the sidewalk by your side, he slung his left arm over your shoulders and reached into the inside pocket of his leather jacket to grab his flask.
You weren't surprised to see him drinking so early in the afternoon, but you were always pretty worried about him. "Hey it's like 2 o'clock in the afternoon."
Though your words didn't affect him much. He still downed whatever alcohol was left in the flask from the previous night with a straight face. When he pulled the flask away from his face he just smirked and said "It's 5 o'clock somewhere."
You just laughed and shook your head at his antics. Two-Bit was older than you by a year or so, but he was good company when everyone else in the gang was at school or work or too busy.
"You're all worried about me. Shouldn't I be worried about you? Ain't you sick?" His cold hand pressed up against your forehead to check if you had a fever, but he actually ended up almost dragging you down.
You stumbled over your feet, Two-Bit's hand over your face was now covering your eyes. "I ain't sick. I just had a routine doctors appointment this morning."
"Oh. Well either way I got the best medicine, you're gonna love this." He chuckled and extended the flask out to you as he turned right to walk up to a local store.
You shook your head and chuckled. He shrugged and downed the rest of the alcohol before slipping the flask back into his pocket. He opened up the door to the store and allowed you to enter first.
You walked slowly into the store and looked around. It sold just about everything from food to random pointless knickknacks to some semi expensive jewelry and small appliances.
Your eyes twinkled under the bright fluorescent lights of the store as you looked around at all the things it sold. "I cant afford anything here."
Two-Bit walked up next to you and whispered secretively in your ear so no one could hear him. "Don't ya know... everything here's free." He laughed loudly and walked away from you down the aisles.
Your eyes widened and it took a moment before you snapped out of your anxious thoughts and jogged after Two-Bit who was already eyeing items on the shelves up and down.
You walked up behind the older male and slipped into his personal bubble. "Two you know I don't steal. I ain't too good at it I'd probably get us caught." You whispered, luckily there was no one around.
Two-Bit stood up straight. He could sense the slight discomfort in your voice and decided now would be a better time than any to get serious and comfort you. "(Y/n) I'm real good at what I do, you ain't gotta worry. You can wait outside if you want or you can just look around in here and I'll buy you some things I think you'd like."
A small smile spread across your lips at his kind words. "Okay?" He asked, his hand placed down gently on your shoulder.
You nodded your head. "I uh... I like candy and makeup, so." You smiled with a small laugh and turned to walk away to a different section of the store so you didn't look so suspicious following Two around.
Two-Bit nodded and then for the next 15 or 20 minutes or so you just browsed around at items you'd like and then when you moved Two-Bit would sweep in after you and snag the item.
You were playing with the fabric of a shift at the front right side of the store when you saw Two-Bit walking down the main aisle towards the door in a quick manner.
He whistled towards you as a signal to pack it up and get a move on. You dropped the shirt from your hands, your eyes narrowing at the female workers who eyed the greaser up and down suspiciously.
You walked out of the store a moment after Two-Bit and met up with him in an alley to cut through to the next intersection back to the East Side of Tulsa.
"See, told ya there was nothing to worry bout." He grinned and started pulling a bunch of junk from his pockets to show you what he had stolen. It really was just a bunch of junk.
"I got you something too." You said shyly and reached your hand into your pocket.
Two-Bit looked confused when you said that. "I thought you didn't have any money?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows.
A cheeky smile spread across your lips as you shrugged innocently and looked away from him.
He gasped realizing that you had stolen something for the first time in your life. "Well I'll be damned. You dig okay (y/n/n)." He grinned and nudged your side.
"Yeah yeah." You smiled and dug through your jacket pocket to give him the gift you had snagged. "It's nothing special, I just grabbed the first thing that reminded me of ya." You plopped the item down in his palm.
He extended his fingers to look at the object in his palm. His eyes all but glowed at the object that sat there. "A mickey mouse key chain!" He yelled in excitement.
You nodded your head with a grin. "Ya like it?"
"I love it thank ya." His hand ruffled through your hair and messed it up.
You felt relieved that both of you had gotten out of the shop without getting caught by workers. You felt pretty cool for snagging an item for the first time, although you guys probably wouldn't be able to show your faces there for awhile.
"C'mon, let's get back to the Curtis' and see what's uh shaking." Two-Bit insisted as he lead you out of the alley and down the street out of downtown Tulsa to the east side of the city where the house was.
