She was born by the sea, grew up on the sea ,sailed the seas, and she would die by the sea. She was a pirate captain which wasnt common, women were supposed to be frail and dainty little playthings for men to mess with but not her. She was stronger than most men, majority of her crew were women who could kick a guy's ass with a hand tied behind their back and blindfolded.
"Aye lassies...we hit shore on the morrow. it be about time we stop home and say hi to our folks" She spoke popping open a bottle of rum and pouring it into three glasses. One for herself, her first mate and the stowaway that could read and write.
"But didnt ye run away from home, cap'n?"
"aye..I did but it's still nice'ta see the disappointed look in me mother's eyes. As me pa and brothers listen to me tales of the sea." The captain grinned,picking up her glass and holding it up."cheers mateys" she downed the rum and rolled her shoulders backwards.
"let's round up the crew and take it easy till we make it ta land. Let's sing some good ol shanties ta past the time." The captain took her hat off and put her jacket on her chair.
"I know why we're heading back. The captain here has a thing for the Prince of the Caribbean or as you call him the Prince of the Sea." The stowaway giggled.
The captain scowled."I have nothing for that land lover." She downed the stowaways drink. "ye get no rum for that"
"Its fine I dont drink anyways"
The captain shook her head and placed the glass down stepping out onto the deck, As she approached the mast a telescope fell next to her."Holy Hera.." She looked up to see the lookout asleep.
"By Neptune's beard..GINNY WAKE UP YOU OLD SEA WITCH YER SUPPOSED TA BE LOOKIN OUT NOT DREAMING OF FAIRIES AND SUGARPLUMS!" She yelled startling the girl.
"a-AYE SORRY CAPTAIN! IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN!" the girl yelled saluting her.
The Captain sighed and went to check on the person steering. "Oi Are ye doing alright ,boy?" she asked.
"Yes ma'am!" he nodded. She took him in because he wanted to explore the seas but nobody would take him because he was scrawny and prone to getting hurt or sick, but in the time he's been with the captain and her crew not once has he been hurt,sick or knocked off the ship. He also knows his ways around sirens and merfolk.
"Make sure to keep her steady, Alfred." she patted his shoulder. He nodded at her."will do captain!"
She wouldnt admit it but she had a soft spot for the squirt. She treated him more nicely than she would others because he was a kid compared to everyone else, he also had no experience. The captain was about to head back inside to inform everyone to meet up on the deck when they another pirate landed on her ship.
She unsheathed her twin pirate swords and just in time too, the captain of the other ship had tried to slice at her but she blocked it holding her swords in an 'x'.
"Captain Kirkland.." she growled.He paused and pulled away. "You're a woman?"
"aye I be a woman is there a problem?" she glared at him."Alfred get the others.This ship be filled with more women than men and we can all kick yer sorry arse."
Captain Kirkland scoffed."Men get the Captain.He's scrawny but we cant underestimate him." Two of captain Kirkland's men approached Alfred.
Her eyes widened before she started laughing.The men stopped and glared at her.Captain Kirkland held his sword upto her throat. "what's so funny, love?"
She held her own sword up to the back of his neck and the other to his stomach."Ye think that boy is the captain...I be the captain of the red pearl and guess what?"
"what?" captain kirkland asked nobody had noticed that the her crew had boarded captain Kirkland's ship and were waiting for her. "now ye be the captain of the red pearl...I'd love to stay and chat but I've got places to be, ships to loot and what not...Adieu darling" she pecked his cheek and stomped on his foot causing him to drop his sword and let out a stream of swears. she ran and swung onto the other ship with a rope tied to the masts she cut the rope and waved as Ginny handed her her coat and hat.
Captain Kirlkand fumed."DAMN HER!"
"That was incredible!" Alfred cheered.
"aye this calls for a drink and a celebration, let's see what the Brits have got aboard." she ruffled his hair after returning her swords to her sheaths.
"cap'n yer neck is bleeding a bit." her first mate,lilith, chimed.
"Shit..Find some loose cloth I can tie 'round me neck.."she touched her neck and pulled her hand away to see some blood.
"How much longer till we hit shore?"
"This ship be faster than the red pearl so not too long ,Cap'n" a girl with bright red hair and purple eyes chirped.
"let me know when ya see land then."
"get me some rum and any other alcoholic drink they got on this ship so I can Patch meself up.Im heading to the captain quarters.." she walked below deck and kicked the door to the captain quarter open."all british ships be the same..let's see what secrets that frilly wannabe be hiding here." she sat down and pulled open drawers and cupboards. "ELIZABETH.I NEED YE TO COME HEReE AND READ THESE FER ME PLEASE." she yelled.
"Coming Captain!" she heard a voice yell.
Elizabeth stepped in with Lilith following holding two bottles and a roll of bandages."I found these in a box labeled medical supplies, cap'n.Lizzie read the box.." Lilith said.
The captain nodded."thank ye." she took the rum and popped it open, she drank some befor popping open the other bottle and pouring some into her hand,She rubbed it on her neck to keep her wound from getting infected,then she wrapped some of the bandages around her neck and secured them with a wax seal lilith had to pour and stamp.
"there good as new.Now let's read all of Kirkland's stories and whatnot.." she grabbed a paper and gave it to Elizabeth. "I better sign everyone up for readin classes...its no good if only one of us can read." she muttered as Elizabeth began reading the first of many papers in the room.
