Try the oceans that you keep
No more crying, not a peep
'Neath my nose I do not seek
And see the starry child
Lay too far, beyond my reach
Past curtain silk and starry reef
Venture far, she will leave
And leave me lonesome here
Her fire fades each day, away
Feet blistered, bloodied, bruised, gray
None can come, none can stay
To witness danger that I am
"Red only lasts so long" said she
Looking into my reflection, me
Two sides fight, lock and key
For the right to my blessed heart
I push you away, and you come back
Though I try to resist, a skill I lack
Your certain pull to the brain I wrack
To try and remember why
Sweet as honey, warm as summer
A friend reflection of a lover
That's why I come to hug her
But realize she's not here
An illusion of what it truly was
A reflection in this house, abuzz
So why can't I shed this feeling of fuzz
And gain control of myself?
She pushes, I pull
I'm empty, she's full
She is me and I am her
Daughter of this earth
