I am ever-grateful that I can look around and see
Everything that I am, and all I can be
The life I get to lead because you're in it
A time, unimaginable without you wouldn't fit
In the future that I see, bright and colorful and fun
So thank you so much, for all that you've done
The sun rouses me with each new day
And dare I never dream of a world with you away
A warmth that I feel whenever you're near
I get to feel safe, knowing you're here
To the future, I will excitedly run
So thank you so much, for all that you've done
I get to be proud to call you my father
And I know I will never not be your daughter
And though we are not related, I love you just the same
Because you pick me up and help me whenever I feel pain
A family divorced is what I come from
So thank you so much, for all that you've done
I am a life you have touched, just one of many
Of the advice you have given me, I kept every penny
The joy you have brought to my life leaves me astounded
And I can only wish to not be so dumbfounded
The opportunity and love and hopes and dreams
Thank you a lot; you have no idea how much it means
