I Missed You (Sonadow)

~Chapter 32 ~ A Hero To All~

Shadow POV 

After clearing his tears, Sonic sprang up from his seat and stormed over to our room. When he came back he had a few papers in his hand. Sonic then stomped over to the door. He said nothing. He grabbed his jacket and threw it on, then left the house, slamming the door behind him. Tails and I looked at each other then the door, and followed close behind him. "Guys! Hold on!" We heard Rouge call from behind. 

We turned to see her carrying Maria while flying up to us. "Don't leave me behind. I need to see this." She said, landing. "See what?" I asked. "You'll see.." Rouge smiled. None of us said anything the whole time. None of us knew where we were going except Sonic and maybe Rouge. I was trying to think of where we were going. But soon enough, I heard Sonic slam a door open. I looked up to see a courthouse. "Oh." I said. 

 When we entered, we sat down and watched as Sonic slammed his fist onto the desk. 

Sonic POV 

 I stormed into the courtroom and slammed my hand against the judge's desk, along with the papers in it. "Why, I never." The judge said. "Why, if it isn't Sonic the Hedgehog. Here to help them execute me, I assume." I heard a man say from behind me. I didn't have to see who it was to know that it was the infamous Eggman. 

 "No. I'm here to defend you." I said, backing up into a seat. "These papers are everything you need to know about this man. He is not dangerous. If anything, he only causes the true dangers." Eggman looked at me surprised. "What? I can't let them kill you for no good reason." I shrugged. "I do not see what you mean, mr..?" The judge turned to me and asked for my last name. I looked at Shadow, then the ring on my finger. 

"Uh, Ro-Robotnik. Sonic M. Robotnik." I answered, looking back at the judge. Shadow's ears perked up. "Robotnik? But thats-" Eggman said in confusion. "Shadows last name is technically Robotnik." I said to Eggman, showing him the ring, then turning my attention back to the judge."Does this mean you are related to Ivo, here?" The judge said in confusion aswell. "Not by blood, no, but my husband is." I answered. "Oh. Well, that makes sense. Anyhow, Mr.. Robotnik, this man has caused much devastation in the past. How could he possibly be non guilty?" The judge disagreed. 

"That is correct. But, in 1998, during the attack of Perfect Chaos, he was not part of Chaos' attack. He even helped us get the Chaos Emeralds to stop it." I explained. "Then later in 2001, he was only being manipulated by Shadow the Hedgehog into destroying the world. He then helped us stop the Space Colony from crashing onto Mobius." The judge read the papers. "Well what about the incident 10 years ago? With.. Amy Rose, was it? You must have to testify for that at least. You were put into a comma, for Chaos' sake." The judge explained to me. 

"Again, that is.. Correct." I sighed, remembering the pictures. "But, again, he was manipulated. Amy Rose was really the one doing all of that. He just lended her a room in his base." "Mr, Ivo, is it? Can you confirm if any of this is true?" The judge then asked Eggman. "Uh, yes, sir, I can confirm." He replied, taken off guard. "And does anyone else agree with Mr. Robotnik?" The judge asked everyone. My friends stood up. "We do!" Tails called. 

"Well, I suppose this leaves the defendant, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, not guilty. You may exit the courtroom." The judge said, banging his gavel. 

 We all left the courtroom, and once we got outside, Eggman pulled me to the side. "Hey, Sonic." He said. "Uh, hey doc, whats up?" I asked. "Thank you. You didn't have to help me, but you did, and I appreciate that." Eggman smiled. "Heh, that's what heroes do." I said before hearing an the abrupt sound of crying. "Uh oh, sounds like I gotta juice." I joked. 

"You have a kid?" Eggman asked, taken aback by the sudden news. "Oh, yeah, I do. She's adopted, but Shadow and I treat her like our own. You wanna meet her?" I asked. "Why would you trust me with your child?" Eggman asked. "Because I know you wouldn't stoop that low. Come on!" I sighed, grabbing Eggman's hand and pulling him over. "Uh, hey.. Eggman." Shadow said a bit uneasy. "Uh, hi..?" Eggman replied. 

"Hi Maria! Come here, come to Daddy." I said to Maria, as Rouge handed her to me. Her crying quieted down. "This is Eggman. He's a friend of mine." I smiled. "Friend..?" Eggman said confused. I nodded, and brought Maria closer to Eggman. Everyone gave me a look that said 'Are you crazy?' and I shook my head, telling them I knew what I was doing. Eggman took Maria into his arms. "Uh, h-hey, uh, Maria." Eggman smiled nervously. 

"Hi Eggthmon" Maria smiled back. 

 1 hour later..

"Hey Sonic, thank you for being so nice to me. All of you." Eggman said, smiling. "Anytime Egghead" I winked. "Now we better head home. It's just about Maria's naptime." Shadow said, picking up Maria, who was starting to nod off. Everyone nodded, and head off in their different directions. 

"So what was that about?" Tails asked me on our way home. "Thought the guy needed to be realized as a person, and not a villain." I answered. "And there's the Sonic I love. Always looking for good in others." Shadow joked. 

"It's true. No matter how rotten of a heart, there will always be a little light in the darkness." I smiled. "Okay, sir cheesy." Tails said, and we all started laughing.At home I laid Maria in bed for her nap and watched a movie with Shadow and Tails. But I couldn't stop thinking about what I did. 

I've never saved Eggman from anything before, so it was kinda weird. But then again, we both retired from villany and heroing, so, there's no problem in giving him a chance. 

Guess I am a hero to all.

BLEH- Sorry for this taking so long to come out, I've been super busy with school, but, i'm working my way around that. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this sucky chapter :,D
