I Missed You (Sonadow)

~Chapter 2 ~ A True Hero ~

Shadow POV

I looked at Sonic, tears rolling down my muzzle. I barely knew the guy and he was about to give up his own life for me. He really is a hero. "What will Mobius do without you? Your their hero!" I asked not wanting him to die for me. "They'll have you.." He said weakly. I saw that he was mostly blue, and the gold on his fur was quickly fading away. Along with that, I was beginning to become more golden as he became more blue.

After awhile of silence, Sonic moved his hand away from my chest. I noticed that he was completely blue, not a stitch of gold on him. As he began to fall I caught him in my arms. "L-let me.. Go.." He coughed. I looked him straight in the eye. "Why are you doing this..?" I asked in a concerned way. "B-bec-because..I.." He began, but the rest was inaudible. "You what? Because you what?" I asked.

He looked me in the eye threw his arms around my neck, and pulled me close to him. "I..L-love..you.." He stammered before quickly pulling me into a kiss, taking me completely by surprise. After a split second, he pulled away quickly and let go of me. 

"H-here..I want you to have this.." He gave me a small ring, about the size of my inhibitor rings. On it was engraved the words 'Mobius' Hero'. "My Father gave it to me.. Before he passed.." He said smiling. I shook my head. "I can't take this. If it's from your Father, then you should keep it." He giggled a little. "Yeah, but I'm going to be dead soon, silly!" He chuckled. I nodded, taking the ring and putting it around my wrist. 

I looked back at Sonic and saw that his eyes had lost their beautiful emerald green color, and instead, they were dark grey. "Take c-care of Tails.. F-for me.." He coughed. By now my eyes were waterfalls. "Sayonara, Shadow.. The Hedgehog.." He said before pushing me away from him, making me lose my grip. I watched as he fell down to Mobius.

I looked up at the ARK, and flew towards it. 

I knew what I had to do.. 

But..

How could I..?
