I Missed You (Sonadow)

~Chapter 26 ~ True Tears ~

Narrator POV

Flashback.. 

Date: September 11th, 1950

*The young girl looked at the tube in front of her. "Grandfather? Can you tell me more about him?" She asked. "Why yes, dear. What would you like to know?" An older man next to her asked. "You said something about.. Chaos Powers? What else do they do?" The young girl asked. 

"Well, Maria, remember when I mentioned something called 'Chaos Heal'?" The older man asked. Maria nodded, answering her grandfather's question. 

"Well you see Maria, there's more to it then just simply healing himself and others." The old man explained. "When someone who's close to him, say a sibling, friend, or even a lover is near him, and are.. Killed.. If he can get close enough, and if he cares for them enough to cry for them, there is a small chance of him.. bringing them back to life, you could say. But, there's only a small posibility of that ever happening." 

Maria looked at her Grandfather, then back at the specimen, facinated. "Let's hope he doesn't need to use that power. Right, Grandfather?"

"Right, dear. Let's hope."*

Present day..

Shadow POV

I held him close to my heart. Tear after tear fleeing my eyes. I felt Rouge's hand slowly slip off my shoulder, and I heard her back up. But, I ignored it. Nothing mattered to me anymore. I should've known this would have happened. It's my fault. "Shadow. Your glowing." Rouge said to me. "I don't care." I replied. "No, your actually glowing." Rouge stated once more. "I said, I don't care, bat! Leave me alone!" I snapped, glaring at her. 

"Wait.." I noticed a red shine on the ground. "Your right.." I said softly. "I know. Your tears are glowing too. You know why this is happening?" The bat asked. I shook my head, then turned my attention back to the blue hedgehog in my arms. "No, but I don't care." I hugged Sonic once more. Tightly. I started to get flashbacks from so long ago..

Flashback.. 

*"It all starts with this." I grinned. "A jewel containing the ultimate power!" I turned as I heard footsteps coming my way. "Who on Mobius are you? And what are you doing with that Emerald?" A blue hedgehog questioned.*

**"Finally found ya, faker!" The blue hedgehog laughed. "Faker? Ha! Your not even good enough to be my fake!" I replied. "You wanna bet?"**

***Sonic looked me in the eye, threw his arms around me, and pulled me close. "I..L-love..you.." He stammered before quickly pulling me into a kiss.***

****By now, my eyes were waterfalls. "Sayonara, Shadow.. The Hedghog.." Sonic said before pushing me away from him, making me lose my grip. I watched as he fell down to Mobius.****

End flashback..

I felt something wrap around me. At first, I thought it was just Rouge, but then I felt something soft on my cheek. I opened my eyes, to see two emerald orbs staring back at me, along with a bright smile. "Hey Shadz. What'd I miss?" He asked. I didn't say anything and immediately burst into tears, hiding my face in his chest. "Woah! You sure missed me, didn'tcha?" Sonic smiled.

"Yeah, I missed you! You were in a coma for like 3 weeks, then kidnapped by Eggman and almost died!" I sniffed. "Oh. Wow.. It's been that long? Sheesh.. Well, that explains the afro." Sonic giggled. I gave him a "Really?" look, before fixing my quills. "I'm just glad to have you back, Faker." I smiled. "And I'm glad I am back. I was starting to miss your warm hugs." Sonic smiled back at me.

I then pulled him into a kiss. I didn't care that Rouge was there, and I didn't care how close to civilization we were. I just wanted to feel his soft lips on mine. We both melted into the kiss as I felt his pale arms wrap around my neck as mine found their way around his waist. I heard a camera flash, and we both pulled away to look in the direction of the sound. 

We saw Rouge standing there, holding her phone, but she immediately hid it and started whistling, looking off into the sky. Me and Sonic looked at each other and laughed. "Come on, let's head on home. I'm sure Tails would love to se-" "MY BABY!" I was cut off by a woman yelling in the distance. 

We turned to see Bernadette running towards us with outstretched arms. "MOM?!" Sonic called, running towards her. When they collided, Bernadette lifted Sonic up into the air, spun around and pulled him into a tight embrace. "Maurice, are you okay? Are you hurt at all? Anything broken?" She asked, looking him up and down, worried. "Mom, I'm fine. You could say I was just hibernating. That's all." Sonic joked. "Also, uh, if you could call me 'Sonic' in front of my friends, and everyone else, that'd be great." 

Bernadette nodded and laughed. "Oh, yeah, yeah, sorry I forgot this generation uses codenames." She joked. We all started laughing. After we calmed down, and after a long while of talking, Bernadette finally remembered she left her stove on and left. "As I was saying.. I'm sure Tails would love to see you again." I smiled. Sonic nodded, and we started walking to the house, hand-in-hand. "Mm. Yes. Being the third wheel is way less fun in real life then YouTube videos. But at least I get to see cute wittle babies bein cute!" Rouge said lowly from behind us. We all started laughing again.

When we arrived at our house, Rouge left to go make dinner, then we opened the door. "Oh Tails! I'm home! And I brought a friend!" I called. "Coming.." Tails sighed from his room. He walked into the Livingroom and lifted his head. "Who is- SONIC?!" He cried. "S-Sonic! You're here! You're awake! You're okay!" Tails gave Sonic and tight hug, crying in his chest. "Hey buddy, it's alright. I'm here now. No need to worry anymore. Alright?" Sonic smiled, lifting Tails up like a toddler. "Alright." He sniffed, wiping his eyes. 

"So, did I miss anything exciting while I was asleep?" Sonic asked after we had all sat down on the couch. "Not really." I started. "But Rouge faced off against Amy again, because somehow Eggman saved her by robotizing half of her body, then we threw her in Jail. Otherwise, you didn't really miss much- Oh! I'll be right back!" I had remembered the poem I wrote for Sonic, and ran to the hospital to pick it up, along with another piece of paper to write the long message I told Sonic a while back. 

When I came back, Sonic and Tails were talking about some machines Tails was planning on making, and some things he could add to it. I walked up to Sonic. "Here. These are a couple of notes I wrote for you when you were in the coma. I suppose this would be a good time for you to read them." I said, handing him the two papers. 

Me and Tails listened as Sonic read each one out loud. I didn't mind. Besides, the nurses probably read the poem and heard me saying the 'speech' anyway, so who cares, really? Sonic got choked up on his words halfway through the second letter, but he continued on reading, just sniffing every few seconds. After he was done reading, he gave me a hug and cried on my shoulder. "Thank you Shadz.." He sniffed. 

"And sent." Tails smiled, holing my phone. "Tails! Really?" Sonic said, blushing. I giggled.

Glad to have you back, Sonic.

Just a little, "Just in case note" uh, T H I S I S N O T T H E L A S T C H A P T E R ! ! ! There will still be at least a few more chapters left. If not, then one more chapter and an epilogue.
