Christopher had been picking her up from school everyday since then.
Usually she wouldn't say this, but she's lucky that she takes many extra courses. She hasn't told her friends about her 'situation'. She knew they'd be judgemental. They'd say it was for her own good, but they aren't going through the same thing.
Their homecoming was coming up, so Nini thought that was the perfect opportunity to 'introduce' (more like ambush) them.
She had planned everything out.
What she hadn't planned was Kourtney berating her in the hallway.
Which brings us to now.
"Nini, how can you date someone when you're still in love with someone else? And still mourning?"
"I knew you would say this. He's actually been helping me more than any of you. And he gets me."
"How could a man you've known all of TWO seconds possibly get you?"
Her silence said it all.
"Oh.
When?"
"A few months ago."
"Nini, you realize that's worse, right? He clearly won't be over that anytime soon, and neither will you."
