November 25th, 2019 Her moms walk into her room in the morning. They say 'Dr. Montgomery called and said there's this support group, she'd like you to go to today. It's at 5:00. I'll take you afterschool.'
She goes about her school day normally. Afterschool, as promised, her mom comes to pick her up.
She takes her to the building where it's held, and tells her it would take around three hours.
Of course it will, she thinks.
The support group, itself was a mess. A bunch of misfits just there to cry about 'losing a loved one.'
They went around the room, everyone introducing themselves, talking about their experience and what the person meant to them.
When it got to her turn, she felt like the air had been sucked out of her lungs.
There was this one guy who smiled at her and mouthed for her to take her time. He helped her control her breathing and she began to speak softly.
She told them about her and Ricky's entire story. How they met, how he was in love with her. How she is in love with him, but he never knew.
Tears were shed, but she managed to keep her composure, for the most part.
Then it got to the guy's turn. Apparently, his name is Christopher. His girlfriend died in a car accident.
In which, he was driving. He said he feels like it's his fault and that her parents blame him.
