December 13th, 2019 "Ooh you're back! May I have this dance?"
"You may."
They began dancing as Christopher said, "I have something to ask you."
"I'm all ears."
"I know this may seem quick, but I really like you. Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Well I guess you're not that bad so fine," she says sighing dramatically at the end.
"Excuse me!" he responds feigning his surprise.
"It is an honor to have been asked out by me and you must treat it as such!"
"Boy, where'd that come from?"
"Eh, I watched Pride and Prejudice yesterday. My mom's obsessed with it."
"Okay then," she laughs.
After another hour or so of dancing and talking, she headed home.
As she did, the night's events replayed in her head. And sure enough, before she could stop herself, she was crying.
She knows her friends are right, but he helps her forget and all they do is remind her.
He's the one factor in her life who has no idea about Ricky. He truly knows nothing about him besides his death.
And he doesn't treat her differently because of it.
