A Stroll in the Park (Tom Hiddleston X Fem Reader)

First Time

You stumble back into your house and throw the bag with your dress in it on to your sofa and head for your bedroom to get changed. Loki comes bounding through and walks with you, staring at you the whole time, practically bouncing to see you again. 

"Yes, OK, hi bubs I'm back" you say to him, crouching down to his level and scratching the under-side of his neck before filling his food bowl for him so he hasn't gone too long without eating. He almost inhales his food and turns round to look at you, hoping for more which you, to his disappointment, deny.

You run up the stairs with Loki close behind you and change into red and black checked skirt with a black fitted long-sleeved t-shirt finished off with black heeled boots. You pull your hair up in to a tight bun and pull out a few fly-aways and smooth the front of your skirt, pulling it down a bit so that it sits at the middle of your thigh. 

Loki starts whining when he sees you rushing about, probably getting getting the impression that you're leaving again soon. 

"I'm sorry sweetie I have to, I'll be back though I promise" you tell him while tossing the dress out of the carrier bag and folding in Tom's clothes instead. Loki tilts his head and whines again, not letting up.

"Alright, fine, let's go" you give in, tapping your leg for him to follow you. You grab his lead from the porch in your house and head back out in the direction of Tom's place. Aware that you didn't let Tom know that you were bringing Loki, you give him a quick text just to let him know:

-Hey I'm on my way back to yours but Loki was complaining at being abandoned so if you answer the door to a huge fur-ball, you'll know it's him and I haven't transformed in 10 minutes :)

-That's no bother, Bobby's been missing him anyways!

-I don't know if I'll be able to stop past for long though, I have a feeling Iris may have fainted since you spoke to her...

-Leave him with me then! You head out and spend the day with Iris and then we can do take-out and a film tonight? 

-Really? I mean food and a film tonight sounds great but are you sure about having Loki for the day? 

-It would be my pleasure :)

You pocket your phone and pick up your pace, a lot more eager to get to Tom again. OK you wouldn't be staying for long this time round but still, this was really cute you had to admit. Your face is lit up by a grin spanning from one side of your face to the other as you think about what's happened over the last few days; how much your life's changed and how much it was going to keep changing. If you hadn't been in the park at the exact moment you were, there's every chance that you never would've met. You would've been doing a minimum wage job that you really didn't like and you'd still be entirely single. 

With your mind still swimming, you come to Tom's door, knock and step back while texting him quickly so he knows it's you. Like the previous night, the door opens in a flash and you're pulled inside along with Loki and the door is slammed shut again before either of you can register what's happening. 

Tom grins at you as you and eyes your outfit

"Alright, maybe this is a bit better than the joggers" he admits
