Leaving your home together, both with a renewed outlook on your relationship, you and Tom head towards Iris's place to pick up Loki again after he had suggested going for a walk. They'd seemed ecstatic when the two of you turned up together, grinning from ear to ear. Well, Kyra was.
"So." Iris starts, looking between the two of you like a parent telling off some rowdy kids. "You two sorted everything?"
                              You both nod.
"Properly? Not just a quick fuck and 'aw that's lovely' I mean a real discussion about what happened, what you'll do from here-"
"Yes!" you interrupt "Honestly, the first long-term relationship you've been in and now you think you're a love coach?".
"I'd never seen you like that before" she answers, not a single note of humour anywhere.
"We both hurt each other." Tom replies, "But we spoke, we cried, and we've told the world we're together, there's no going back now and I wouldn't want to even if I could."
Iris still remains stony silent, eyeing Tom as if she were reading bits of information as she did so.
"Do you really know how bad she got?" she presses finally, "because as much as I won't let her hurt herself like that again I won't let you either, and she really was hurting-"
"I showed him my place, the state I left it in" you interrupt again.
                              "And?"
"And he helped me clean it all up. He also bandaged this when I cut myself" you add on, lifting your bandaged hand for evidence.
"I didn't want to erase what happened." Tom jumps in, "I just wanted a fresh start for us, for her, she deserved that, because even if things hadn't worked out between us, she still deserves a nice, clean place to call home."
Loki had started to whine behind Iris and Kyra at hearing your voice again, forcing the two of them to part for him to run to you. He twirls circles around your legs and weaves in and out of Tom's as well, jumping up to lick his face no matter how much you tried to stop him.
"Dog's don't lie about who they trust" Kyra whispers to Iris, looking at the two of you fawning over Loki again as he preened under the endless praise.
"Alright" she replies, if somewhat reluctantly, "I'm not sure I trust you two honestly, but he does" she admits, nodding to Loki who had now rolled onto Tom's feet, covering the bottom of his trousers in hair. "And I trust him, more than the both of you combined."
"Thank you" you smile back to her, Tom attempting to show gratitude as well before being tripped by the dog.
"Just don't hurt each other again." She warns, "I mean you really should've seen her Tom, she was wallowing, crying, moody, honestly a little pathetic, she barely showered, I mean she really wasn't the pretty sight she was last night-"
"AND on that note we're leaving!" you cut her off, tugging Loki by his collar and Tom by his sleeve.
                              ***
                              "I warned you you little-"
"Alright!" Tom warns. It seemed Mrs Copper had no intentions of warming to you any time soon, Bobby sat patiently behind her, waiting to be let out to play with you and Tom and, more importantly, Loki.
                              "He hurt me too y'know!"
"He sat and cried in front of me because of you!"
"Ladies!" He shouts again, both of you turning away like hurt animals. "Now as much as I appreciate how much you worry for me, I love Y/n and I want to be with her."
