Light despite all the Darkness
It felt like ages since I heard that voice, the voice was a sweet song ringing to my ears. A voice that I've treated as my home.
"Oliver?"
I squinted my eyes towards his direction to confirm if it was really him. And in my luck it was really him.
"Oliver!" I dropped everything that I was holding and began to run to him.
He started running too and there we met in the middle, in each other's arms giving warmth as we embraced each other. Silence prevailed as we embraced, but it was broken when Oliver uttered.
"You're safe...." he uttered as he held me in his arms.
"I am...."
It was a deafening silence that embraced us as we sat next to each other in a pub. I casted the Muffliato around us. The bartender didn't seem to recognize who I was and there were no other people other than Oliver and I in the pub for it was already past midnight and there were no customers around.
"Haven't heard from you for almost a year, the only thing I heard was a group of people successfully infiltrated the Ministry," said Oliver, taking a sip off his firewhisky while I played with a coin in the palm of my hand.
"That was the four of us....we found out that Umbridge had one of the Horcruxes, but she never used public transportation so we needed to go —"
"I kinda figured that out." said Oliver, cutting me off. I looked down at the coin I was playing with. "So why are you out here all by yourself?"
I raised my head and stopped playing with the coin that I held.
"Ron," I answered, his forehead creased.
"What about Weasley?" he asked again.
"He left, I'm off to find him." I explained simply.
"Why did he leave?" said Oliver. I glanced at him, his eyes were filled with concern.
"There was an argument between the three, then he left." I said, he lifted an eyebrow at me like I said something really ridiculous.
"How big is this argument that it caused Potter, Granger and Weasley to part?" said Oliver, chuckling.
"Well it's really not that very big," I started. "Ron felt very left out and Harry wasn't having it. So he told Ron to leave and Ron did....he regretted it of course." I summarized the events that happened that night.
"Oh, kinda stupid."
I nodded, glancing at him and there we met each other's eyes. He changed so much, his hair was longer and he was taller.
"You've cut your hair." he awkwardly said, breaking our gazes and pointing towards my newly cut hair.
"Oh!" I said, touching my now above the shoulder hair that Hermione had cut off after Ron left, she needed some kind of distraction so I sacrificed my hair but it wasn't a really good idea, since she chopped it too short than I expected. "I asked Hermione to chop it off, which was not a great idea. She kind of went overkill." I said chuckling.
