Welcome To Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy
As I stepped on the ground of Hogwarts I felt so overwhelmed. Students are walking and running all over the campus. I didn't even know anyone so I felt lonely. I got lost in finding my way into the great hall and I think I'm late so started to get nervous. I found myself in a dark hallway but saw a light coming from the exit. I felt relieved, but the nervousness was still there, unaware of what's there.
"Hello?" I said as the light reveals a person's figure
"Are you late too?" a voice asked me, the figure revealed itself and it was a man, I think he's from Hufflepuff for he is wearing a yellow tie. Well that's what they said, but I'm not sure.
"I'm actually lost, I'm new." I said while looking at him, he's so tall, and that I need to look up at him
"Oh...I'm Cedric Diggory" he introduced himself, but I can see him stifling a laugh as he notices that I need to look up at him and I got embarrassed.
"Agape...Agape Godfrey" I introduced myself with a smile
"Nice meeting you Agape, We should head to the great hall now" He said and escorted me to the great hall and what I saw was 4 long oak tables, students sat there, and as me and Cedric were at the entrance, the other students looked at us, and the nervousness that was gone earlier came back again.
"Agape Paris Godfrey!" Professor McGonagall called me in the right time, I stared at Cedric and he nod at me and sat at the Hupplepuffs table. I walked to the front and sat to the chair to get sorted, ignoring their stares as I walk.
"Hmm..." The sorting hat started and I started to get nervous
"Loyal....Brave....Intelligent...." started the Sorting hat as I held my breath in nervousness. "Yet ambitious and cunning...hmmm.." I lifted an eyebrow as I waited for it's decision. "Sl — Hufflepuff!" the sorting hat said at once, the Hufflepuffs rejoiced, some of them stood waiting for me, the others stood as they clapped for me, I stood up and went to the table of the Hufflepuffs, before I sat I shook their hands as a sign of respect, I felt the warmness of their welcome.
Now where will I sit?
"Agape! Here!" Cedric called me and points at the empty space right beside him
"Thanks for saving me a sit" I thanked him still shy, since I am still adjusting
"No prob" He said back
I looked around the Great hall as the first years were being sorted, and I suddenly locked eyes with a guy that I think I've met before, he was at the Gryffindor's table.... He looks so familiar.
He had brown hair and brown eyes, he looked normal. When our eyes locked, he smirks a little and raised his glass and did a little wink before looking away, and I felt blood rushing in my cheeks.
"Hey Agape, it's time to eat" Cedric touched my shoulder to catch my attention, because I was staring, even when he broke our gazes. I diverted my attention to the food that was in front of me.
We started eating and I glanced to the Gryffindor's table again. I saw him again... the familiar guy earlier. I also saw Hermione, I know her for she is also a muggle born
"Who's that with Hermione Granger?" I asked Cedric and he looks up from his plate and looks at the Gryffindor table so he knows who I was pertaining to
"Her friends, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter, The boy who lived." He told me as he munched on at his food.
"Harry Potter is here?" I asked him, Harry Potter was known for being alive even he got attacked by You-Know-Who. Thus he got the title; the boy who lived.
"Yeah... you're both in the same year or are you not?" Cedric asked back
"I.... I was hesitating if I should transfer here to Hogwarts when I got the letter" I confessed to him as I fiddled with my fingers thinking of my parents who abused me for 13 years, I really hesitated.
Another reason why I transferred here in Hogwarts is all my life I knew that it wasn't right, my life wasn't right, like I need to find something that is missing, like I don't belong in that world.
"Oh... so that's why" he said while nodding
"Yeah, that's why I'm in 4th year already" I said as I grabbed food in front of me
"Is it finished? I should go to Hufflepuff's common room now" I said after finishing my food and he looks at me and cleared his throat.
"Oh let's go together let me just go do something you can wait for me outside the Hall" he said as he wipes his mouth with a scarf, a yellow one. I just nodded at him as I stood up and leaned at the corridor just outside the Great Hall.
