Surprise!

Louis's POV

"So who's up for some road trip singing?" I ask.

Through the rear view mirror I see everyone pass glances to each other before Amari starts singing a song I've never heard before in my life. The lyrics repeating over again and melody catching up to everyone as they started singing.

"Oh boy why you wanna do me like that? I never really did you no harm, now you got me with open arms, oh, oh, oh!"

Sounds like a really good song. Why haven't I heard it before? I start singing along with everyone else. For about a minute we just repeat the lyrics over and over until Amari adds, "It's not so easy to fall, just wanna let you know, please don't brake my heart, I'll leave it in your capable hands, safe, under lock and key."

Still unknowing of what the song is we sing all of the lyrics now. Suddenly Zayn jumps in and adds, "Baby, you know I wont ever hurt you, oh."

Now Amari jumps in again and adds, "Then take my heart and please don't brake it."

After that we just sing all the lyrics together. It's a good song, I wonder where she got it from.

As soon as the last lyric is sung I ask Amari, "why haven't I heard that song before? It's really good."

"Yeah," everyone else chimes in.

"Oh, I just made it up right now and Zayn helped me," Amari answers.

"I did?" Zayn asks. "Well did you add lyrics or not?" Amari says with a laugh.

"Oh," Zayn responds. We all share a laugh as we ride into the empty expressway.

"How long is this ride going to take?" Amari asks.

"Your just going to have to wait," Liam answers. A frustrated sigh passes her lips as I see her curling up into Zayn's lap through the rear view mirror.

Zayn's POV

Amari curls up in my lap. Shes looking a little tired. We finally got on the expressway and it's abandoned. No other cars in sight.

I wrap my arms around Amari and stroke her soft hair. Niall, Liam, Harry, and Mari are already asleep. Amari seems to be falling asleep I as hear her whisper, "I love you."

A smile creeps on my lips as I whisper the same exact words, "I love you."

I see a smile appear on her face as she slowly opens her eyes to look at me. I lean down and give her a quick kiss before she closes her eyes again.

It's officially just me and Louis awake now in this abandoned expressway at 3:46 in the morning.

"Hey Lou?"

"Yeah mate?" Louis responds.

"Wanna let me drive?" I ask.

"It's okay, I can keep going," Louis says.

"You sure? Just for a little," I say, offering.

"Well, why don't we pull over at around 4:30 and both get some rest before heading back on the road," Louis suggests.

"Alright then, we can do that," I say in agreement.

"So," Louis says.

"Oh, hey, do you really think we could make it if we auditioned for one of those singing competitions?" I ask trying to start a conversation.

"We'll never know unless we try," Louis answers.

"So that means we'll find out when we audition. Pretty nerve-wracking," I say.
