The truth comes out

Amari's POV

I felt a mix of slight anger and sadness rush through me, I felt myself weaken and all I wanted to do was cry.

"Im so sorry," Liam says in a hushed tone, like he was ashamed.

"How could you do this to me!?" Zayn yells.

"I-I was angry," liam says.

"what could possibly make you so angry to do this to me?" Zayn yells.

"I missed my friends," Liam whispers.

"What are you talking about?" Zayn asks seriously, his voice suddenly calm.

"I thought i was losing my friends, I thought you all were forgeting about me," Liam confesses.

"So the alternative is to break up me and my girlfriend?" Zayn yells. "oh my god, you broke up all of us didnt you?" Zayn asks with a hint of disgust. 

"Im sorry," Liam whispers scratching at his wrist again. 

"Are you serious? Liam please," Harry says.

"Im so incredibly sorry to you all, I feel awful about what i did."

"I can't believe you," Harry whispers before he gets up and leaves the living room.

I feel almost numb, I cant even think or move. I'm just watching as Zayn yells at liam.

Alexis gets up and follows Harry while Mari just leaves the room as Niall goes after her.

 How did this happen?

Zayn walks over to Liam and raises his fist and punches Liam.

"Zayn!" I yell as I manage to lift myself from the couch and rush over to them grabbing Zayns arm.

Everyone else rushes into the room to see the commotion and just stare at us.

Liam raises his arm to his jaw where Zayn just punched him and thats when I see it. It all made sense, I knew something was odd when he kept scratching at his wrists.

"I deserve that," Liam says.

"No," I say then shake my head "You don't."

This makes Zayn look over at me angrily and Liam look at me confused. 

"Why are you not as upset as I am?" Zayn asks, hurt.

"I am," I say.

"Really? 'Cause it sure doesnt seem like it," Zayn says.

"Babe please, trust me on this."

"what are you talking about? Who's side are you on?" he says as he furrows his eyebrows.

I give his arm a squeeze before letting go and turning to Liam.

I walk over to Liam and he looks even more confused while everyone else just stares at me, waiting.

"let me see your arm," I say looking into his eyes knowing there is no way he can avoid this if I  dont give him a chance to.

he doesnt say a word as he lowers his arm slowly and looks at me the whole time.

I grab his arm and raise his sleeve to make my assumption correct.

"You are so much better than this," I say as I look back up to him.

"Liam," Zayn says rushing over. 

Zayn tries to grab ahold of his arm but Liam will not allow him. He wont even look at any of us now.

"I know its difficult but-" Liam cuts me off.

"how would you know?" he asks looking at me.

"Well," I begin hesitant then slowly lower my leggings on my hip "You are not alone."

"Amari," Zayns whispers. I can hear the pain in his voice. 

"I'm so sorry," Liam says then begins to shake his head.

"Liam, you are so much stronger than you know and I know this is the end of that," I say.

Liam nods his head. "only if you promise this is the end of that."

"Deal," I say and open my arms as wide as I can and embrace him into a hug.

"ow" I mumble due to the brace.

Liam chuckles then sniffles and releases me.

Zayn hugs Liam and says "I'm sorry leeyum, please talk to me about these things. I dont want to make you feel unloved."

Liam nods and smiles. 

"I never meant to make you feel small. You will never loose me as your friend," Zayn says. 

Zayn turns around to me and Harry and Niall go and hug Liam and soon louis and the girls do too.

Zayn grabs my arm and pulls me away farther from the rest.

"wh-" he begins but doesnt continue. 

I give him a puzzling look.

He looks down at his feet then looks back up at me and embraces me in a hug. 

As he hugs me tigh yet gentle he whispers in my ear "I love you, never forget that."

This makes me smile as I say "I love you, always remember that." 

And before I know it im being embraced into a group hug.
