Secrets

Niall's POV

"You mean, you also are the reason me and Mari aren't together? Oh and what about Harry and Alexis?" I say. Liam looks up at me with regret in his eyes. "I'm so sorry" Liam says. "How could you?" I say, getting angry.

"I just, I wanted my friends back!" Liam says as his voice cracks as he said friends. I calm myself and look into Liam's eyes. He seems sincere, he is my friend, I want to believe he means well but I just can't believe he did this.

I take a deep breath then ask "so what are you going to do?"

Liam thinks for a moment then says "I'm not sure, I need to know how I'm going to tell Zayn and Harry. For now can we just keep this between us?"

"Fine, as long as you explain to me what happened, how did you ever convince any of us? Or what did you do exactly? I don't even remember." I say.

Liam sighs. "You don't remember how I convinced you that there were plenty of fish in the sea, not to set your heart on a princess yet?" Liam says.

"No I didn't. I'm disappointed in you Mate" I say looking down to the street, avoiding Liam's eyes. "I know, I'm sorry, I really am, I just want you to be happy" Liam says. Liam is one of my best mates, I believe he's being sincere but I don't know whether to trust him now...

I guess Liam sensed my hesitation because next thing I know he turns to look at me and says "I want to make it all right. I want you, Harry and Zayn to be happy, even if it means less time for one of your best mates."

I face Liam, take a deep breath, and say "you know your going to have to tell them and explain everything?"

"Yes, I know. And if they're mad, I deserve it" Liam says as he looks down for a moment just like a little kid would. "Does this mean your not mad?" Liam asks.

"I'm not mad, just disappointed, but I forgive you" I say, looking straight into Liam's eyes.

Liam nods his head, then says "thanks mate, I'm so sorry for all the trouble I caused, I don't want you to be unhappy."

"We should go back inside now, get some rest" I say as I turn around and make my way to the sliding door, slide it open, and me and Liam step inside, I slide the door closed as soon as Liam is inside.

Amari's POV

I get back home and it's almost 5:00am. Shit. I was out that long? I hope nobody noticed.

I sneak back into my bedroom and close the door quietly, take off my combat boots and sweater and slip into bed. I lay in my bed for a moment and stare at the ceiling, the slight sunlight peeking in gives the ceiling a shadow. I stare at the ceiling and stare and let my thoughts pass.

'I miss Zayn' 'It's not the same, laying here in bed, alone' 'I wish he was here right now' 'I wish he hadn't walked away'

All those thoughts enter my brain and scatter everywhere while I stare at the ceiling. I should get some rest. I try to push aside my thoughts and shift position in my bed, now laying on my belly. I close my eyes and slowly drift to sleep.

I wake up, opening my eyes slowly adjusting to the light.

I slowly get get up, leaving the covers in a messy ball on my bed. I make my way over to the bathroom and wash my face. As soon as I dry my face I walk to the kitchen and see Mari and Alexis sitting on the stools to the island. "Good morning sunshine" Alexis says sarcastically.

I look her way and shot her a glare. Not the day.

She gives me a 'okay, not the day' look. "We're going to Starbucks to get coffee, you coming with?" Mari asks. "Erm, sure. Just give me a minute. Hey, what time is it?" I say as I walk to the island and sit across from them. They give each other a look. What? I arch my eyebrow.

Alexis looks at me. "It's 1:48pm" Alexis says. "You slept pretty long. Bad night?" Mari says. "No.. It was fine" I lie. I don't need Mari and Alexis to know I sneak out at night sometimes and go to that park by Zayn's old flat. They'd probably think I'm insane.

"Ohh" Alexis says. Mari just gives me a look. I can tell she's thinking. About what?

"Let me get dressed and we can head down to Starbucks" I say as I get off the stool and back to my bedroom.

Mari's POV

"We'll I think I'll be pretty energized tonight with those refreshers" Alexis says as I unlock the door and we walk into our flat.

"Maybe you'll stay up later than you usually do then" I tease her. She gives me a look and squints her eyes. "Haha" she says. I stop immediately when I see something on the island that was not there when we left. I freeze and stare at it. It looks like a letter of some sort.

"Mari?" Alexis asks, then she sees it. She freezes and just stares at it as well. Amari was coming up from the elevator. Me and Alexis were playing around with her and we close the elevator before she could reach it. Haha.

"He- what's going on?" Amari says right as she walks in. She notices the letter on the island and stares at it for a moment. "Where did this come from?" Amari asks walking over to the letter and picking it up. "I don't know" I say.

"Why does it have my name on it?" Amari asks. "I don't know" I say again.

Amari sighs and sits on the stool right beside her and opens the letter. Me and Alexis watch as her eyes go from left to right reading whatever's written inside.

"What is it?" Alexis asks. Amari looks up at us and flings off the chair, running to her room, leaving the letter on the table.

I walk up to where the letter is placed and look at it for a moment. I don't recognize the handwriting. I take the paper and hold it between me and Alexis so we can both read it.

I begin to read.

'Dear Amari,

It wasn't his fault. I never meant to hurt him or you, I just needed my friend. I'm so sorry. '

"What does this mean?" Alexis asks. "I don't know but I think I have an idea of what's going on" I say. "What's going on?" Alexis asks. "I'll fill you in later, right now we need to talk to Amari" I say. "Of course" Alexis says as she heads to Amari's room.

I walk right behind Alexis. As soon as we reach Amari's room the door is open, she didnt even bother to close it.

"What's going on?" Alexis asks Amari as she walks over to her and sits right next to her. "Are you okay?" Alexis asks her. I walk over to the bed and sit down at the end of the bed.

Amari is sitting there by the head if the bed where she has all her pillows and just sits criss-cross with her face in her hands. She's sobbing. It's low but I can hear her sniffling. I wanna know what happened and what's going on. It's time to find out...
