"Run." The velvety voice uttered in the comfortable silence that had fallen
"What?"
"I said Run."
"Why?"
"You don't want to find out what happens if you either don't listen or get caught. Now. Run" the vampire said with a sadistic smile on her face, her eyes showing a small hint of madness and humour, seemingly enjoying the fear she was inflicting on Ebony. So she ran. she started running, she was running faster than she had ran in her life, Adalaide's laughter ringing in her ears. That's strange I don't remember the corridor being this long, wasn't there a turn coming u- wall, wall, WALL! It was too late, she couldn't stop, she slammed into the fall face first, her nose breaking on impact, and she fell to the floor, once again dazed, and confused, clutching her broken nose in her hand. Blood slowly pumping through her fingers in a steady stream, she groaned in pain. Ready to give up and take whatever the ancient vampire was going to give her when she started to hear, raucous laughter coming from down the hall, looking over her shoulder, she saw Adalaide doubled over in laughter and holding onto the wall for support.
"Oh my lord above, you must be the most accident prone and pathetic vampire I have ever laid eyes on" the older one stated after recovering from the laughing fit.
"Glad you noticed" Ebony replied as she rolled her eyes, still holding her nose in her hands, the blood dripping onto the lush red carpet that adorned the floor of the corridor. "have you got a tissue or something? I'm getting blood on your carpet and I really don't want to be paying the carpet cleaning fee, plus I though vampires didn't bleed since their heart has basically stopped pumping?"
"You'll learn all about that soon enough, here is a tissue, I'm going to reset your nose" and before Ebony could even reply, Adalaide had grabbed her head and forced her nose back into place with a slight crunch and a shriek of pain from Ebony.
"Jesus Christ Hemmingway! Don't you think I've had enough today?" whined Ebony, gingerly stroking her newly set nose. "I'm so tired, a small coma wouldn't be enough to make me fully rested"
"Stop whinging, we have one more thing to do before you can rest. Follow" she strutted off down the corridor, Ebony hobbling behind her like an injured puppy, eventually stopping in front of door that she swiftly opened to reveal a singular desk, a blackboard and a load of vampiric diagrams.
"Welcome to my classroom Ebony. Take a seat"
