Sat in Ebony's favourite living room chair, holding the still dripping head of Billy Mason is a woman. Her eyes like crimson pools, lips the colour of rubies and bright white fangs.

Ebony tries to run back to the front door, slipping on the laminated floor in her socks, when suddenly in a movement too fast for the human eye to track as anything more than a blur, the woman way there in front of her with a smirk on her face. Ebony slid to a halt, falling on her backside in the process – scrambling to get away from the woman, she tried to get to her feet, sprinting down the hallway.

The woman was yet again a blur and she was in front of her, holding her by her throat and legs in the air. The smirk gone, replaced with a look of great annoyance as a low growl starts in the stranger's throat, she speaks

"Now really. Are you quite done with your little runaway act? At first I found it fun but it's starting to get old now" She states in a strong upper-class accent.

Ebony just whimpers and nods the best she can with a hand round her throat.

"Good" then as suddenly as the chokehold came, she released Ebony and she fell to her knees, coughing and sucking in great lungful of air. "Oh, do stop being so over dramatic, one would think that it would have been the first time you've been strangled, and we both know that isn't true" the smirk reappears on her face at the double meaning of the statement.

Ebony says nothing, trying to get her heartbeat and breathing under control, somehow, she manages to succeed. The creature smiles, a somewhat genuine smile. "There, now isn't that so much better, no annoying beating to distract us from the important task at hand this fine even-"

"Who are you?" blurts out Ebony, no longer under the spell of silence.

The woman's face darkens "Two things. Firstly, do not interrupt me when I am speaking. It's rude. Secondly, my name is Adalaide Hemmingway and I'm a vampire.
