Author's Notes

Hello everyone, JAM here. It's been a very long time and yes, I'm still alive. But it looks like I'm finally back to writing and it feels good to finally post a story after almost a year of nothing. For those of you who have been reading my stories since before, I'm sorry that it took so long to return and that so many failures and broken promises had been made. I hope I can make it up to you with this story.

My friend will be co-authoring with me for this. We have a rather ambitious story planned out for "My Band Girls" and we hope that you look forward to it. We went through... so many difficulties and so much pain just to get this story started, so we're determined to see this story through and finish it. 

I'm so sick and tired of the numerous failures from 2020. But now it's 2021, so I hope things turn out better.

An important note: This story will use a Male OC instead of a Male Reader Insert like past stories. I made this decision since it might be easier to plan and write for an OC as well as having more creative freedom. I hope you understand.

Anyways, this is where it starts. Please feel free to leave a comment about the story.

I slowly open my eyes then slowly sit up as my alarm clock rings to wake me up from my sleep. I turn to it and stop the alarm. I take a moment to let the rest of my body wake up then stretch my arms and back before getting out of bed.

I grab my phone from the desk next to my bed to check today's date.

6:32

Monday, April 29th, 2024

I put my phone back down and pick up the hand mirror my sister gave me. I look at the mirror's reflection which shows my face with my short dark brown hair and dark green eyes. I close my eyes as I inhale deeply then exhale slowly before reopening my eyes.

"I... can still improve." I quietly tell myself. My sister made me promise to look into a mirror and say one positive thing, anything no matter how small, about myself every day when I wake up.

I put the mirror back on the desk to get ready for the day ahead of me. My best friend and I plan to hang out for the 1st day of Golden Week.

45 minutes later

Finishing breakfast, I put my plate into the sink then wash my hands. I head upstairs and into my room to grab my phone and wallet. I do a quick check on my outfit which is composed of a khaki dress shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, my signature OD green M65 field jacket and a pair of grey cargo pants. I put on a pair of black crew socks and a pair of black gloves before putting on my black glasses. I then head back downstairs towards the entrance and put on my brown combat boots.

"Have a good day Onii-chan." I turn around to see my little sister Jeanne standing behind me.

My little sister Jeanne is 2 years younger than me and is in 3rd year middle school. She has long dark brown hair that she often wears in a ponytail and dark green eyes. She's a smart and hardworking girl who can make friends easily.
