The next day

I fix my clothes after borrowing Yuki's bath to freshen up as memories of last night... about what Yuki and I did... keep playing in my mind... I woke up in the morning in disbelief, but I couldn't deny what we did as the evidence was clear.

"... What... have I done...?" I slowly ask myself in exasperation as I firmly dig my hands into my hair...

My thoughts are disrupted when I hear heavy breathing and quickly turn around to Yuki, her face is still quite red...

Wait...

I quickly dismiss all my thoughts as I quickly place my bare hand on Yuki's forehead and I immediately notice the difference in temperature.

"Oh no... Yuki... are you okay?" I ask as her breathing serves as a confirmation that she isn't okay.

"The first aid kit... Shit, this is bad. That was a bad move, that was a fucking bad move... Why did I do that...? She was soaked from the rain and we... before... she got into the shower..." I tell myself before standing up and a thought comes to me. I pull my phone out from my jacket pocket and scroll through my contacts to someone who can help.

James: Auntie... bad news... I stayed at Yuki's place overnight... but she got soaked in the rain during an incident last night and... now she's got a really bad fever. We can't come to school because Yuki is sick and I'm the one caring for her.

I send the message and it only takes a minute for Aunt Julia to reply.

Aunt Julia: Oh my, so that's where you've been. Glad to hear that you're okay. I was worried when Artemis told us what happened last night. Those bastards... Don't worry, the mess has already been cleaned up. But Yuki is sick? Is she injured too...? I'll call the school and tell them you two aren't coming today, then I'll head there to help. Are you sure it's just a fever?

James: Some scratches, but nothing serious, this fever is the concern. She's really heating up...

Aunt Julia: Okay, keep an eye on Yuki and take care of her. I'll be there soon with what we should need.

James: Thanks, auntie.

I lower my phone down and breathe a sigh of relief to have aunt Julia's help to take care of Yuki...

I slowly look back to the Russian-Alaskan Snow Puppy when I suddenly realize something that I have noticed since last night... after the incident but failed to think of...

"Did you... always have ears and a tail...?" I ask myself as my eyes focus on Yuki's dog tail and ears that are similar to a Siberian Husky.

Yuki was... secretly a dog girl all this time?

"I guess that explains a lot." I say with a soft smile as I pet Yuki's head. Yuki groans in pain and discomfort, causing me to remember Yuki is still naked right now.

With that, I look for Yuki's closet and search for suitable clothes for her to wear in her current condition. I find a set of comfy pajamas and place them on the nightstand next to the bed. I pull off the blanket and see that her body is covered in sweat.

I should wipe her sweat off first.

I cover her back up and go to prepare a small basin of water and a towel. I wipe the sweat off Yuki's body, which makes it more clear to me how bad her fever is and confirm that she isn't badly hurt save for just a few scratches and some bruises. I grab the first aid kit and treat those wounds before dressing Yuki in the pajamas I set out, then adjust her pillow and cover her with the blanket before placing a cold compress on her forehead.
