"oh, yeah of course. we'll meet you two back at the burrow" i said to hermione and harry. they nodded and left. i have to say, my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. i had no clue what he was going to say.

"about what happened-" he began, before i cut him off.

"ron i told you, leave it. it's fine" i said sternly.

"no y/n, i wont leave it. it did mean something. i really like you and i know you don't like me back and it's okay. i just needed to say that" he said it so fast it took a while to process. when i did process it, i couldn't say anything.

"sorry, i'll go" he said as he stood up. i snapped out of my stare and stood up aswell.

"no wait" i said as i grabbed his arm.

"why what's the point!" he shouted.

"because i like you too you idiot!" i shouted back. wow, i really just said that.

"wait, really?" ron said, a smirk growing at his lips.

"yes, your so oblivious" i said as i attempted to hold back my smile.

"so are you!" he argued. we both laughed and he took a step closer to me, he towered over me, our faces only inches apart.

"so i guess it's okay to do this now?" he said with a smile. i was confused for a second then it clicked. he leaned in and kissed me, his hand on my lower back, pulling me in further. after a few seconds, we pulled away. i smiled up at him, i cant believe he liked me all this time. how could i have been so stupid?

"this is gonna change things y/n" ron said.

"i know, let's just take things slow? i like this" i said as i wrapped my arms around his torso, hugging him tight. he hugged me back and kissed my forehead. after a few moments, i pulled away and picked up flopsy. we walked back to the burrow and couldn't contain our smiles when we got there. we walked into the bedroom to see harry and hermione cuddling.

"erm i'm just gonna go get a drink, y/n come with me" she said suspiciously, with a large smile across her face. we exited the bedroom and ran down the stairs.

"anything to tell me!?" she said excitedly.

"he likes me! and he kissed me!" i said with a huge smile forming on my lips.

"oh my gosh! it's about time!" she said, giggling.

"shh! we're not rushing into anything though" i said.

"yeah i get you" she smiled and we headed back up to the bedroom.

"where's your drink hermione?" harry said with a smirk as we got into bed. hermione shrugged and we both giggled.

"night everyone!" i shouted. they all said it back and we soon enough drifted off to sleep. i woke up before everyone and decided to go downstairs to get a cup of tea and watch the sun rise. i stood outside the door with my cuppa staring out at the beautiful sky.

"y/n?" i turned around to see a very sleepy ron walking towards me.

"morning ginge" i said with a smile.

"what you doing up so early you weirdo" he asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"i don't know, weird isn't it? i'm normally last one awake" i said.

"i know" ron put his arm around me and rested his head on top of mine, he was still sleepy.

"why don't you go back to bed? your tired" i suggested.

"wow really? trying to get rid of me?" ron said with a smirk.

"oh shush" i laughed.

"i'd rather be with you than share a bed with harry any longer"  he joked. i looked at him and laughed.

"i have an idea" i said after a few seconds.

"oh here we go" he groaned.

"we should all go camping tonight, like in a tent?" i suggested.

"oh thanks for clearing up what camping was i didn't know!"  he said sarcastically.

"ron listen to me!" i said as i slapped his arm.

"okay okay. yeah sounds good. where at?" he asked.

"by the river" i said in an instant.

"of course, your favourite place" he smiled.

"so it's a plan. i'll tell harry and hermione" i said as i walked back into the burrow.

"they're coming?" he pulled an annoyed/ confused face.

"wait, you thought it would be just-" i pointed to me then him. when he didn't reply and looked at me with an annoyed expression i couldn't help laughing.

"in your dreams ginge" i said as i ran up the stairs to tell hermione and harry.
