Chapter 19: Confrontation

ATLAS, Crimsons Crew and The White Fang...all in one place. Both Roman and Crimson knew this was a setup. The General then walked to where it was gonna be considered a no mans land. Crimson and Torchwick walked to him. They knew this was gonna be a big conflict. Armored vehicles in both sides, mercs, terrorist, armed forces. Who would win?

- Gentlemen, there's a better way to do this. Said Roman.

He then brought two guns from behind him and Crimson and the General quickly pulled out theirs. Then the tension between soldiers got tenser. No one dared to pulled a gun to the other group. Only the head leaders were pointing guns.

- so, you turned against me Roman? Asked Crimson.
- don't get the wrong idea, but I trust no one
- if one of you dies and the other is injured, its a win for me. Said Ironwood.

They all stayed firm, this wasn't chicken. This was a Mexican standoff.

- looks like we have a Mexican standoff

Roman then pointed both guns at Crimson breaking the standoff.

- Roman what the actual Fuck?
- I'm sorry, you're the bigger fish, friend

Ironwood decided to point his guns at Crimson seeing Roman wasn't against him.

- I knew something like this would happen, so I brought a sniper!

Then he pointed both guns at Ironwood and the sniper pointed a Roman.

- I knew you would bring that so here, Second sniper. Proclaimed Ironwood as a red dot was visible on Crimsons Face.
- you think you're smart, but you forgot of something

Roman and Ironwood looked at each other and asked;

- what?
- I'm an Arms dealer!

Then the sound of a guided missile was heard. They saw the missile circling them. Crimson shot a guided missile from his submarine.

- ha. Laughed Ironwood.
- you mean the guided missile I just had my hacker hack so it would crash back in the water?
- you mean the hackers wife I just kidnapped?
- you mean the hackers wife that filled for divorce?
- bullshit that marriage is rock solid
- I can Guarantee you I've been taping that ass for 6 months

Crimson and Roman then looked at each other in disbelief that he would do that to his men. They took a deep breath in disbelief and went on.

- yeah but what you didn't know is that Cinder told me she has a crush on Roman!

Roman then surprised pointed at Ironwood.

- Really boy?
- Sorry
- I can guarantee you I will not harm you

So he then pointed his guns back a Crimson.

- sorry pal
- that's fine, but remember that I can call an Airstrike
- you mean the air strike I can have taken down by my air defense?
- hey Roman
- what?
- do you know how I knew from where the attack was gonna come from?

Both of them looked intrigued.

- how?
- I have an Orbital Canon pointed at the 3 of us this very moment, if I die they shoot, if you guys run they shoot, if something happens they shoot, they've been seeing and hearing this entire time.

Both of them looked in shock. Basically that's a stale mate. So Roman quickly pulled his guns up and so did Crimson and Ironwood.

- there's a better way you guys! At the count of 3 we put our guns down

They all agreed.

They quickly shot each other draining all their bullets at each other. The 3 of them fell to the floor with a loud hit.

- No!!! Yelled Ruby.

Non of them moved. All the parties watch as their leaders gunned themselves down just mere feet from each other. No one moved, Ruby wanted to run to Crimson and hold him in her arms but didn't want to approach until it was safe.

Then coughing could be heard.

It was Ironwood, everyone, Roman and Crimson men were shocked and Atlas wanted to cheer but didn't want to celebrate too early.

- no.... said Ruby in disbelief.

But then Roman as well as Crimson coughed as well. They were all in the floor fighting to stay alive. No blood was spilled...at least not in the outside. Crimson ripped his shirt opened and he had a vest.

- oh thank god. He exclaimed seeing there was no blood nor gun wound.

Roman and ironwood tried to looked at each other and at Crimson. They were all in disbelief. They were all vested. Then a member of each team ran to their respective leader. They dropped their gun in a symbol of parley. They picked their leaders and helped them stand.

- no blood was spilled men. Said Ironwood.
- talk for yourself. Said Crimson looking at the corps of his mole.
- Hope he didn't cause too much trouble

Both Roman and Crimson looked with disgust at the general.

- let's agree that this asshole is dead and we all go to our respective places. Said Crimson.
- I can agree to that. Said Roman.
- sure. Agreed Ironwood.

As their men helped them go back to their respective group Crimson stoped and said.

- James!!!

All 3 stoped.

- You know Ozpin is gonna find out right?!
- I know...and that's gonna come and bite me later...now I need to recover

Then they all arrived at their groups and Ruby quickly ran at Crimson. She hugged him being careful not to hurt him too much. The crew member who was carrying him let him go so Ruby could take care of him. She helped him get in the Insurgent and got on the other side. With little to no strength he tried to rest while reclining on her.

- thank you
- for what?
- for rescuing me
- what? I just came to pick you up

He tried to down play it but everyone in the SUV knew he was in extreme pain. He then passed out and Ruby quickly checked his vitals and was relieved to see he's still alive. Just...severely injured. They then went to the safest place. The Facility. Roman went to his hideout and Ironwood went to the nearest Military base to enclose the meeting as much as he can from Ozpin.
