Chapter 21: Raid

Crimson POV

Ruby and I were prepared, the target was about to move in a few hour. But for obvious reason I can't let that happen. We had more than enough time to prepare. So we brought everything we needed. The enemy on purpose destroyed all the lights in the area to avoid a night raid. So that meant they had Faunus with Night vision. No problem, it just means more work. I got near a tower where the warehouse was. Ruby in position, was ready to speed run this. I took out some thermal vision visors and took aim. I killed the bastard in the North Gate and Ruby killed the other guy as soon as she saw the body hit the floor.

- Remember, there's only so much I can do from here so try to avoid staying in highly condensed areas where your thermal radiation may cut

She then entered the warehouse and I kept tracked of her around thin walls and glass. She started dispatching of the soldiers little by little with a mkII pistol, extended mag and suppressor. Everything was going well, only 8 to go. But then she went into a room that started to isolate her radiation and signal.

- Ruby....come in
- ....
- Ruby I can't see you

The comm stayed quiet. Maybe it's the room. I tried to calm myself, but then a high level of thermal radiation was picked. It looked exactly like a fucking Red dot.

- RUBY! There's someone or something heading your way

Ruby POV

I entered a room where they seemed to have all their intel and communication equipment. Every single radio was wired. So they couldn't be interfered or have their channels compromised. Every detail of the heist and other works were here.

- Ru-

I started hearing Crim but vaguely. It most be the room.

- can you hear me Crim?
...

Nothing.

I started recollecting the papers Crim told me to pick. It was an entire document detailing every single delivery that's gonna be delivered every week for the next month. I then started messing the comms and every other thing I could see that would serve them as a communication device.

- RU-Y....Some-ne......head....way

I then quickly hid behind the door. A Faunus then walked into view, he looked at the place and stood in place. He then ran to the communication system and I was about to sneak behind him, but then I stepped too hard and the floorboards sounded a little to loud for my comfort. He quickly throws his arm with a right hook aim at my face. I manage to dodge it and bring my combat knife to stab him. He jumps back and I try to close the gap but he quickly knocks the knife out of my hands. I quickly use a drop kick but he also blocks it. He sends me stumbling back. He grabs me and slams me against a desk. He then took my knife and with all his force stabbed it through my hand. I hold the scream the best I could as he quickly turned his back to go get his buddies. I tried removing the knife but failed.

- shit....

With all my strength I pulled my hand slicing it open in half. I quickly took a pen and activated my semblance. Once I catch to him I quickly shanked him in the neck multiple times. His body fell to the first floor alerting the others. Regretting it I teared my skirt so I could use something to keep my hand together.

- Ruby what happened? The sirens went off!
- a small hiccup

- NO!...stay there, I can handle this
- if I see you no longer can handle it, I'm jumping in there
- fine

I then quickly activated my semblance and ran down to the first floor. I threw the pen to one of the guards eyes and as he screamed in pain I shot him in the head. Before the body could hit the ground I grabbed it and used it as meat shield. I ran across the building shooting crooks while holding to their friends corps. But it could help me so much, some of the bullets managed to go through the corps and two of them made direct contact with me. One in my shoulder and the other on my torso. So I discarded the corps by throwing it at them with a C4 on it detonated it. So far I killed 5 leaving me with 3. Then one of them came in my room with a mini gun. I took cover behind some crates but they were being eaten by that gun. Then a loud shot is heard and the guy fell to the floor. I looked at him and his knee was blown off. I quickly used my semblance to reach him and blow his face with a shotgun. Two left.
