Chapter 14: Taking it easy

Ruby's POV

I was packing all the stuff that I knew would look good and ran all across my closet. I knew this vacation would be a blast. Every time I hang with Crimson something crazy happens.

- Mam? Do you really need a lvl 3 body armor?
- YES

I then picked a really cute dress and threw it in my suitcase.

- I think I'm done, what about you?
- oh me? I only brought this

She then brought a backpack with some other stuff in a small bag next to her.

- you sure?
- Yeah, if I need something else I'll buy it when I need it. I don't think I'm really gonna need a ballistic vest with me
- HEY!!! We're RWBY!!! Danger follows us!!! And when he's around even more....I need a break
- I bet you do Mam...so, where are we going?

I then took a second to analyze and it came to me.

- I...don't know

I then got a call from Crimson, I picked it up and it sounded windy.

- I can't hear you
- sorry...

He then muted me and took some time, no more than a minute.

-Is this ok?
- yeah

I was about to put my last dress in my suit case but then he said it.

- I'm here for you on top of your office

Fuuuuudge...

- I'm in the Diamond
- oh that's not a problem I can get a car there in no time
- you sure? My assistant can drive us any where you want

She then turns me around saying no while whispering.

- damn, I was planning on-
- you know what, I'll take you on that offer, surprise me
- ok, a car will be there shortly
- thanks
- no problem, now if you excuse, there's some stuff I need to attend to

He then hanged up and I sat in a nearby chair.

- mam, do you need something? You look stressed
- no

I then get a call from the phone line and my assistant answered.

- Hello?

She put it in speaker so I could listen.

- This is Tom Connors, I believe I'm talking to Ruby Rose's penthouse? Am I wrong?
- Yes, I'm her assistant
- Good, one of our trusted colleague and also penthouse owner said that you might be needing a car so he has helicopter awaiting for you
- sure, we're almost done packing
- Thank you for your time

He then hanged and my assistant quickly looked at me.

- Did he said Helicopter?
- I guess the car couldn't arrive at time?

But regardless, we hurried up and finished packing and by that I mean me. So when we were done we went outside to the roof and I was shocked. A Swift Deluxe was awaiting. The pilot then approached and asked;

Ruby Rose?

- yes
- I'm the pilot, I was told the location was to be a surprised
- same in my end
- good, I have the right person then

We then got in and relaxed while the helicopter was taking us across Vale.

- Mam...isn't this supposed to be 5 mil expense?
- I guess

We kept talking on our way but it was work related. More like, what will we do once we get there.
