Chapter 9: Making a Choice

Ruby's POV

As the sun comes out I can hear the sound of the beach. Waves hitting the shore, seagulls screeching in the distance. I wake up and walk around the house until I find the bathroom. Seeing I have a long day in front of me, I take a bath and start thinking how am I gonna bring Crimson back.

3rd POV

As Ruby bathes she fail to notice the sound of someone trying to pick her front door. She gets out and starts drying herself. The perv starts going upstairs on Ruby's new beach house. Ruby now is dressing herself but as she is clipping her bra she hears the door nub twist. And as the door opens, she uses her semblance and rushes with a gun towards the intruder. She then pushes the barrel against the intruders temple but she's shock to find out who it is.

- Crimson!!!
- hey Rubs

She then looks at herself and looks at the position she and him are in.

- something wrong?

She blushed and used her semblance to run at her bathroom.

- I'm sorry!!!

She said from across the room. Crimson then gets up and awaits in the living room. Ruby takes a few minutes preparing and she comes running downstairs shortly after. Crimson can be seen sitting down in the couch eating a bag of chips.

- hey

Ruby starts sprinting with her suitcase towards him and hugs him with all her strength.

- I thought you could of been dead!!! She said almost crying.
- I feel bad...you really thought that could take me off the game?

He then pulled his shirt up and showed her his new scar.

- Let's say my semblance is...superhuman, I can heal near death experiences, I have more strength, speed, health, stamina, etc. Than any other normal human out there

She then looked relieved to hear that.

- but...what about the General?
- I have that covered, follow me

She then followed him and they see an MOC outside. The back then opens and he signaled her to follow him.

- what about your car?
- that thing?

He said pointing to the Zentorno. To which Ruby could only nod in return.

- I'll get someone to recover it shortly

Having that settled, they both entered the truck. In the first trailer, Crimson had an Insurgent in the Vehicle Workshop and next to it, a weapon workshop. They went passed it and walked to the next trailer. There Ruby saw 2 more people. They were sitting in a couch. Both guys were wearing full Suits, just like him.

- Why do they have suits?
- Every person who works under my CEO must have a suit
- oh

The Truck then started moving and Crimson looked at his body guards. He nodded and they left.

- whats going on?
- Ruby, only reason I'm telling you this is because I trust you

Ruby looks him in the eye and with a nod she lets him know she won't betray him.

- Avon was a maniac who wanted to destroy the world, the one paying him, the General himself, for years he did as he pleased, but agent 14 and some other people under the secret service notice what he was doing, so they hired us to put a stop to him
- But What is you-
- He was gonna create a global Holocaust!!! Nuclear disaster was inevitable if we hadn't done what we did

Ruby didn't had words, she felt bad. How could she understand his problem when she's not being wanted or almost killed. She hugged him and tried to talked to him under his coat.

- Oz wants to speak with you...
- Why?
- He didn't knew who the culprits were...and he wants your side of the story
- I see...but how am I gonna get there?

Time skip Beacon

As Ozpin is in his office, he's drinking his coffee doing some paper work until some shadows that can be seen hovering over his Beacon. When they all see them the shadows start define. Avengers, 4 of them. They land in the courtyard and from it they See Insurgents Pick up coming out. 3 of them were fill with soldiers, and the fourth had 1 driver, 1 gunner and Crimson and Ruby in the back, they get off the car as the soldiers in the rear get of the cars and escort them to the Tower and the others stay in cars taking guard. The students of Beacon start to crowd around, but they kept their distance. Some of them were surprised to see the leader of team RWBY escorting Crimson. Although he was being escorted by Mercenaries, some of them started whispering about MC. Ruby seemed confused.

- whats an MC?
- that? Well, I have a Motorcycle Club
- Really?! That sounds cool!!!
- oh no, I sell drugs and stuff like that, it's a stupid job
- oh...

They then walked into the office and the bodyguards stayed behind.

Yang's POV

We were in our dorm studying until we notice a big crowd of people in the courtyard. Weiss then looked at the window and notice 4 helicopters.

- I think someone important is here
- what makes you think that?

Asked Blake.

- Those are military aircraft's

Once she said that I had to take a better.

- why don't we go check it out?

They nodded and we went there. We started spring wanting to know what was all the fuzz about.

Ruby's POV

I was biting my lip as I was in Ozpin's office while hearing Ironwood Ranting on Crimson.

- Your a Criminal!!!
- James, he saved us

The General then walked to him and grabbed Crimson by the shirt. I had to stay put and try not to hit this bastard.

- You're sooo Mighty...and yet...you fail to notice a terrorist in your ranks

The General was about to slap him but.

- That's Enough James!!! He saved all of US
- fine

He then backs off. Putting some distance between both of them.

- Don't expect to be treated like a hero, cause you won't
- Don't worry, wasn't planing on that either. said Crimson with a smug look in his face.

The General then walks away from him and looks at me.

- And for you

All three of them looked at me.

- I feel disappointed that you didn't tell me anything sooner...but...I guess it was the right choice

Crimson walks towards me and throws his arm over me. He looks at Ironwood right in the eyes and said;

- so General, if you harvest a grudge against me...what about Ms Rose here? He said while looking him as he won or something.

To which Oz tried to intervene but was too late.

- I won't follow with legal trouble but YOU have to choose...You either stay a huntress or you Work for Him
