Chapter 28: Heinrich Thomet

3rd POV next day

Ruby can be seen leaving Eclipse tower with caution and quickly goes to her car. She left Astrid with Anna and quickly tried to find clues of to where Crimson might of gone.

She drove to his office all the way to Maze Bank Tower and when she arrived to his office she noticed not even his assistant was there. She quickly looked through his office under all the money thrown on the floor and desk. She couldn't find any paper on his desk or safe.

- There's gotta be something around here

She sat in his chair and was faced by a password.

- damn it...what could it be?

She started to think knowing she only had 3 tries before the system would block her off.

- mhmmm....Astrid?

She typed the password and it was wrong, two more attempts.

- damn it....Rwby?

Once again it was wrong.

- who's here?

Ruby then quickly looked surprised towards where the CEO room is and saw Crimsons assistant.

- Oh Ruby, what are you doing here?

Ruby was caught red handed, she couldn't lie her way so easily.

- I'm looking for Crimson
- oh thank god

Ruby looked confused. It couldn't be easy now could it?

- he hasn't payed me in 2 days, I'll help you find him
- really?
- mhmm

She then came up to the computer and I gave her the keyboard. She then typed money.

- what?!
- isn't it obvious?

I then looked around and I was shocked, the password was literally in front me the entire time.

I then started looking through his emails and couldn't find anything.

- hey, by chance, do you have access to his bank account?
- no

I then started thinking...if I was Crimson...what would I do? And it then came to me.

- we run a massive empire....we hire people to run ghost businesses right?
- yes?
- can you check if he rented a car under the companies name and withdraw some money?

Crimson's assistant then went to her computer and started checking.

- yeah, he did took a massive amount of money out of the companies cash on hand from the petty
cash flow
- what's that?
- what the name implies , cash on hand that the company can use for what it sees fit
- how do you know he took that money if its cash?
- well, if he's hiding and doesn't want people to know where he is, cash is the way to go
- but you haven't told me how he did it
- I saw the camera footage and saw him taking stacks from the the safe next to you

I then tried to think where he could of gone. I know he has cash on hand but where could he be? He did say he was in hot water with Mistral...I should check the hanger.

Ruby then walked to the assistant and asked her for a helicopter. The assistant called it in and was gonna be here shortly, but before Ruby left she asked her something.

- what were you doing in his room?
- oh that...don't tell him, it a girls secret ok?
- ok?

Ruby looked at her with suspicious intent.

- when he's not here I take a break and sleep in every now and then
- why?
- Why?! Do you know how boring is this job?! It's horrible!!! When we have nothing to do I'm basically a glorified barby doll !!! Look nice! Get the phone! So I just sleep when it's slow
- I see, your secret is safe
- thanks!

She then went to the Roof and took her ride. The helicopter didn't took long to get to the hanger, around 30 minutes. But for her it felt forever.

Crimson POV

As I'm finished getting my bags I see Trevor running to my jet and getting in.

- HURRY UP!!!
- I'm going....

I hate when Trevor tells me what to do.

Once I got inside I saw laptops and other stuff. I'm not an expert so I won't mess with it. I moved to the back of the plane a took a seat. Once I sat down I lighted a cigar and tried to forget who the pilot was gonna be.

- hey, you got another?

I opened my eyes to see Paige here.

- you smoke?
- no, just wanted to talk

She then sat down in the chair in front of me and got her vape out.

- so you vape
- what's the goal? Lester didn't say much
- I don't know myself, the one who knows the plan is the maniac of a pilot we have
- I see

We then felt the plane move and got our seatbelt on. There's no way I'm trusting that guy. So as we take off I see one my helicopters land.

- weird, who could that be?

I then got a phone call on one of my burner phones from him.

- Hey Thomet

Ruby's POV

As the helicopter lands I see the Luxor leave.

- Damn it!

I then get back on and tell the pilot to take me to the office. But as I was mid way I got a call from Yang.

- Hey sis
- Hey Rubs...

She took a long pause after that.

- is everything ok?
- Roman was found injured on the streets...he's passed out in a hospital
- why are you telling me this?

She took another second.

- don't freak out, he doesn't know anything but...the police already identified Trevor and Crimson as the killers who tortured and killed Adam

I need more time!

- sis he-
- I'm just telling you...that Rwby has been hired by Ozpin...to capture Crimson and Trevor and bring them to custody
- but sis I-
- no ruby...hear me...MerryWeather is also involved

I felt my heart sank.

- They were told by the police that both could of been taken dead or alive
- a bounty?!
- yeah

She then Hanged up.

I couldn't contain myself and threw my scroll against the floor.

- AHHHHHHH

I started screaming and crying, there was so little I could do to save him.

But then I heard my Scroll ringing and looked at it. It was Ozpin. I took it and tried not to cry.

- O-Oz?
- Ms.Rose, I'm sorry to say but Crimson's information has been discovered, he did a fantastic job to stay hidden, but that video exposed him...I'm afraid the police raided 3 of his large warehouses with tons of weapons...illegal substances and other...They don't have a link to you but...
- but what Professor?
- I'm afraid I need to put him on government and Terrorist watch list...if he's seen in Vale he will get arrested and probably worst

I was shocked. I couldn't believe it, I didn't have words. What could I do? What should I do?
