Before anyone knew it, there was an underlying match, South Crenshaw against Beverly High, Janelle hadn't known why they got themselves into this situation, but there was no turning back now.

Janelle and the two other Beverly High football boys walked onto the South Crenshaw High School football field. Jordan had called the team here earlier, and now the three teens stood there waiting for the rest of their team. They stared at the opposing team, watching as they warmed up. Janelle was nervous to play, she played football, but she had always played official matches and wearing the proper gear, never played without it. She was a woman, and women had more frail body structure than men did, and these football boys carried two times her body weight, as well as tackling wise. She didn't want to get hurt and miss out on her opportunity to play the game she loved, but she also didn't want to let Spencer down.

The sidelines filled with people, sitting around waiting for the game to start. Others had already started betting money, onto which team they predicted to win."You ain't have to call the rest of the guys here. I had it handled." Spencer says to Jordan, with his eyes still piercing his old teammates.

"Too late," Both Janelle and Jordan said, as they saw the rest of their team walk into the field. Jordan smiled as he headed to JJ, handshaking him, and thanking him. The boys game in with their bags, and their gloves in hand, Asher walked up to the Baker boy, Spencer astonished to see him there, and Janelle smiled, knowing this was going to bond the players.

"I'm surprised you showed up." Spencer bluntly stated as Janelle socked his arm, scolding him on his choice of words as he held his spot of pain and winced at the gesture. Janelle shot him a 'stop being rude' face, as he scoffed it off.

"We're fighting. That doesn't mean I don't have your back." The blue-eyed boy said to his best friend, as he stuck out his hand. Jordan smiled, taking the hand in for a handshake.

SPencer walked over to Coop, handing her his Crenshaw ring, "You sure about this?" Coop asked her friend, reaching for the ring.

  "Too late now."

The game had begun, and it was going head to head. So far, Crenshaw had a 7 point lead, 7-0. Janelle and Jordan were switching off as QB, trying to throw off the opposing team, as they tried to score. Soon enough, Ms. Grace came out to the field, as Janelle was on the sidelines grabbing some water and catching her breath as she, talked to Coop and Patience, as they froze, seeing Spencer's mom in front of them.

"Did y'all think I wouldn't notice everyone started disappearing?" Ms, Crace says to the three girls, as she notices that Janelle was drenched in sweat from playing. Janelle was in, as she threw the ball to Spencer and he got tackled to the ground. Janelle ran over, to see if he was alright, as he spit out blood from his mouth.

The plays when on, some balls getting to the receiving end, and others being off, and causing incomplete passes. Janelle had the ball in her hands, as she had just run through the boys, dogging their every move. She kept her eye out for the blue-eyed boy, running. Once she spotted him, they locked eyes, as she threw the ball, it soaring above the field into the hands of the boy, making a touchdown. Janelle had gotten tackled, after she made the throw, getting sent to the ground. The weight of two boys on her as she did, one landing on her ankle as she yelped in pain. Jordan heard the girl yelp after Asher had scored a touchdown, tying them up. He ran to the girl, as he saw the boys scurry off to the rest of their team to consult with one another.

Janelle sat on the ground, hugging her swollen ankles as she winced in pain. Jordan kneeled next to her, worried as she saw her in pain. "Hey, how bad does it hurt? Can you get up?" Jordan asked, pulling her leg closer to him carefully, as he examined the area of stress.
